Anden's Field Trip

On Wednesday the 1st Graders visited the

I'm not sure if Anden was more excited about seeing the exhibits
or how he was getting there.

Riding a bus is quite a novelty for him! lol

I hadn't planned on going but due to last minute changes,
he really wanted my presence.
So I quickly rearranged my schedule and made the trip!
It was a fun little day!

Somehow we've never been to there before.
I thought for sure I've drug the kids to every museum in town.
This one was so fun for the kids.
There were tons of different rooms and exhibits and floors.
There were parents assigned to mini groups of kids.
They left us just roam on our own until we met back for lunch
and the planetarium show.

In my group was Anden, Owen and KK and Owen's mom.
We just laughed watching these over excited boys darting from one thing to the next.

In one room was a simulation of the inside of an airplane and cockpit.
I thought the boys would be so impressed that oddly I know about
all the components inside the flight deck
(seeing as how that's what my company makes)
Ya they could have cared less.
Apparently the mechanics behind how the lap tables worked was WAY more interesting!

So we spent the day chasing the boys
and continually counting to make sure we still had 3 kids with us.
I have no idea how the other parent volunteers juggled 6 kids with one parent!

I took random pictures as they played at some of the exhibits.

The Three Stooges!

I couldn't stay the whole time and planned to leave after lunch.
Somebody still has to work around here!
But I did manage to stay a little longer to go to most of the Planetarium Movie.
That was super cool!
Definitely made me realize I need to brush up on my solar system facts!

We attempted a selfie inside the dark room prior to the movie starting.
Apparently the flash made Anden shy! lol

So we tried again on my phone but without the flash.
(I had to keep these boys entertained until the show started!!)

And finally one with the huge movie screen dome above our heads!

What a fun little field trip!
Glad I was able to join in!
And yes I was humbled to learn that all these 6-7 year olds knew what a
Dwarf Planet was...
yet I didn't.
