Fall Break - Sedona Trip Part 1

Date: October 12th

We decided to fit in a little vacation for Fall Break.

So we headed to Sedona!

Our first adventure started at
the Sedona Outlets!
Pit stop to buy me and Taylee some socks!
Somehow we forgot ours!
We lost the kids momentarily.
Oh wait those window models look just like...

We then checked into the hotel and hurried back out to play!

Our next stop:
Crescent Moon Ranch
at
Red Rock Crossing.

We hadn't done these hiking trails before
and were excited to just wander around admiring the natural beauty!
We LOVE not having a schedule
and exploring at our leisure!

We continued on the trail towards the iconic

Cathedral Rock

Until we came to the banks of Oak Creek.

Then the kids and Ryan braved the 60 degree water!

The rocks are SO slippery!

Luckily I knew from experience to pack water shoes for the kids.

So they were steady footed.

Ryan however kept falling down!

Hmm who's helping whom?!

The kids loved sitting on the slippery rocks and letting the current push them along!

Nature's water slide!

Eventually we drug their frozen limbs out of the water

and continued on our way.

Yes Laiklyn really was part of this adventure!

I spy a miniature hand escaping!

I just LOVE this scenery!

Along the trail were tons of rock towers!

The kids thought it was so cool

and added their own to the collection.

Look at those smashed luscious lips! lol

Skipping rocks is always a timeless fan favorite!

Finally we decided to head back

but not without Mommy almost stepping on a snake!

The girls screamed while the boys ooh'd and ahh'd!

This little angel loved her first Sedona adventure!

After hiking we headed back to the hotel.
Ryan and I were hoping to relax
but not these busy kiddos!
Right to the pool they went!

At this point we knew it was time to call it quits!

But not without a pit stop to test out the treadmill.

Taylee even tested out the wall when Anden turned it too fast

and she shot off the back!

Once we peeled Taylee out of the wall,

we hurried back to our room to get ready for dinner.

We then headed to uptown to wander around.

Of course she had to have a picture with the pink jeep!

We wandered into a restaurant with amazing patio views!

Who cares about food when you can sit in the cool weather and stare at this!

After dinner we continued our leisurely wandering around town,

Finally we loaded up and headed back for the night.

But not without stopping for each of our own Ben & Jerry's first!

Such a fun day!!
