Master Suite Makeover

So for my birthday this year

I gave myself a 

Master Suite Makeover!!

You know me.

I just can't stop redecorating my house.

But I'm closer and closer to being done!

Just a couple of rooms left.

(well until I get another wild hair)

Ryan had asked what I wanted for my birthday

I sheepishly grinned and told him...

"Well if you haven't noticed the overabundance of shopping bags

piling up in the den....

it's because I've been buying things here and there to redo our bedroom!!"

He wasn't as excited as I was.

Maybe that's because he knew

 he would get drug into my never ending DIY ideas! lol

Well he did get drug into it.

And together we made our bedroom 

a Rustic Glam Sanctuary.

(without any baby items still lurking around!)

Yes I had to explain to him several times what I was envisioning.

But he's a good sport and simply obeyed my wishes

and even installed another plank wall for me!

So here you go!

Before

(I'm always so excited to tear down the old that I forgot to take pics of the bathroom. 

But just imagine tan walls with chocolate brown decor/towels and pops of bright yellow!)

Construction Mode

We did the same plank wall as the family room as the accent wall in the bedroom.

But this time after I stained it gray

I finished it with a whitewash coat.

We love it!!

I was pretty proud of myself for coming up with a design

that was glam enough for me but still rustic enough for Ryan!

Ahh finally a relaxing space just for adults!!

Ok ya right.

Every day I find a different kid snuggled up in the

"new silky soft covers"

watching TV/iPad and eating some sort of crumby snack. lol ugh

Oh well at least this means everyone likes the new room! :)

But don't you worry,

I'm not done in here yet.

I'll post more as I wrap up the finishing touches!
