This day was our "Easter" Sunday.
So we dressed up in our new Easter clothes
and headed to church.
After church we took a few pics.
Laiklyn was OVER it and just wanted to nap.
So she got to shove a bottle in her mouth during the pics
and wear just one shoe.
The other kids were so jealous.
Then our day took an unexpected detour.
Jordan had woken up that morning in serious pain.
He couldn't move his right foot.
I told him it was nice ploy to get out of going to church.
But he was legit.
So he and Bree stayed home from church hoping his foot would loosen up.
Apparently this wreck...
led us to a couple hours at the Urgent Care...
Not quite in the plan.
But hey it keeps us on our toes
(not on his right foot tho!)
The verdict was that it wasn't broken
but had major ligament strains/tears.
They sent him home in a boot and crutches.
I felt SO bad!
I finally get my bro out to visit me and
we end up breaking him! ugh
Hey you've got to be tough to roll with this crew! lol ;)
Once the gimpy got home
we had our Easter dinner.
After dinner Grandma made Cinnamon Roll Bunnies with the kids.
Ryan came in midway through and was like oh they're Sea Turtles!
Grandma's excitement immediately deflated lol
Hey Jordan you just sit there! ;)
And we even had an Easter Egg Hunt!
I hid all of Jordan's within 3 feet of him.
Somehow he still didn't find them all!
Yes I did hide Ryan's egg by a dead bird.
It was a subtle reminder for him that if you're going to shoot it
at least throw it over the fence!!
Soon after Jordan and Bree had to hobble their way back to CA.
We are so glad that they came to visit!
Hopefully we didn't scare them from coming again! :)
Oh but wait
the fun didn't end there!
Mom and I loaded up the older kids and off to the pool we went.
It was a HOT day and we needed to cool off!
And we did let Jordan know that he could have come
swimming with us after all! :)
