Taylee had her first big soccer tournament.
The Desert Elite Cup
The week of the tournament we finally got the schedule.
They didn't have enough younger teams sign up
so they combined her age group with the year older age group.
She was a little worried they would get crushed.
I assured her they wouldn't!
And luckily I was right because they did so well!!
Friday night game:
They played the toughest team in the league, Inferno.
Taylee played Defender, Goalie and Midfield.
They dominated the ball most of the game and ended up winning 3-1!!
I had forgotten my camera and called Ryan to bring it with him.
When he got there I realized I also forgot to tell him to grab the SD card out of my laptop!
Ugh so cell phone pics it is!
Saturday night game:
They played a mixed 2007/2008 team (we're all 2008 age) so it was a tough one.
We ended up losing by one goal.
But it was definitely an evenly matched game!
Sunday morning game:
I was too busy chatting and trying not to pass out
(yes it was already that hot at 10am)
that I didn't take any pics.
This team was a 2007 age team.
But we rocked it and won!
More than half of our team are brand new to club soccer.
So we were super proud of them!
The girls ended up taking 2nd place in the tournament
and was only 1 point (goal) away from 1st place.
The 1st place team was Inferno, who we beat our first game!!
So this was definitely a great start to our season!!
