Taylee's Baptism

Date: Sept 24th

Saturday was Taylee's special day.

She got baptized!

She's been so excited for this day to arrive!!

Ryan and Anden had a football game early that morning.
So they headed off to that and then we all met at the Stake Center.

A few pictures of Taylee before she changed into her Baptismal clothing.

I think these two were a little too relaxed before the Baptism! lol

Taylee had asked me to give the Baptism Talk.

I firmly believe that parents should be exempt from talking at their child's baptism!

We're already emotional and now both times I've either just had a baby or about to have baby!

That's a bad combo of overflowing emotions! lol

This time I gave my talk on Tayleelocks and the 3 Bears of Baptism!

The Handouts

I gave Taylee 3 little bears with tags of each covenant throughout my talk.

At the end I asked her to give away the bears to 3 different people.

Then I handed her a gift to open.

It was a Build a Bear gift card so she can go and make her 

own Baptism Bear to always remind her of this special day!

The entire program was so good!

Kyrrigan was the cutest little chorister.

My mom did an awesome job on her Holy Ghost Talk.

Ryan did a great job performing the baptism....even though he had to dunk her twice!!

My Dad gave an amazing confirmation blessing.

It was just an all around awesome event! :)

Then we headed back home for the luncheon

 

Taylee had asked for a chocolate fountain for the dessert.

I had heard horror stories of chocolate fountains

so oddly I've never had one at any of the parties I've hosted.

I decided to be brave and give it a try.

And it was a total hit!

(and not too messy either!)

  

  

Every time I kick my shoes off,

Little Miss Thang snatches them! lol

 

Then we ate and ate and lounged and laughed and ate the rest of the day!!

We eventually walked to the park to play 

and watch the beautiful Arizona sunset!

Then it was back home for more eating, laughing and staying up way too late!

Such a great day! :)
