Last Summer Staycation

Date: Sept 3-4

Ryan and I escaped from the kiddos

for our last staycation of the summer

and last getaway before Baby #4 arrives!

We hit up our favorite JW Marriott Desert Ridge!

We decided we could show the kids we also can master the
"selfie burst button"! lol

 

Ok Laiklyn definitely still has us beat.
I have no idea how she can pose for 219 pictures in 20 seconds!! lol

Ahhhh so nice to have time with just my hubby!!

I've so thankful to have local in laws that are always so willing to 

watch the kiddos so we can have some adult time!

However we're never fully detached from the kids.

We did fit in going to all of Taylee's soccer tournament games

while Facetiming Laiklyn too! haha

We lounged at the pool then changed 

and went to dinner at one of our favorite places there. 

I love when it finally cools down enough (ok it was still high 90s) that we can 

eat outside on the patio and listen to the live bands.

We stuffed our faces and wobbled back up to our room

while comparing who's more prego in the elevator mirror! haha

(Ryan won!!)

Then we lounged a bit and watched the activities below.

Next we headed out to Taylee's soccer game. 

Luckily the fields they were playing on were like 5 mins away from the resort!

After the games it was off to Froyo then back to the resort

to watch the second half of the BYU vs Arizona game.

First, I was going to get tickets to this game before we found out Taylee's tournament schedule.

Second, a ton of our friends were at the game.

Third, the other half of the BYU fan base was staying at the same resort we are!!

We soon found out the hotel didn't have the TV station the game was on.

So we downloaded the TV app and watched it on the iPad in the room! lol

Which means I fell fast asleep by 10pm with 5 mins left in the game! Oops!

(I did hear later that I missed all the excitement!  But we watched it when we got back home)

The next morning we hit up their awesome breakfast buffet.

Then literally waddled out to Taylee's final game.

After the game we rushed back to the hotel to jump straight in the pool.

It was SO hot already!!

Funny how after 30 mins at a pool without kids you're like 

"Soooo ummm what do you want to do now?" lol

But dang is it nice not to be pecked to death by needy children

and actually be able to finish a full conversation!!!

I just love our little escapes!

I have the best hubby and it's so good to have time to focus on that

instead of always being in co-parent, referee, coach, maid, chef, chauffer mode! lol

Eventually it was time to check out and head back to reality.

We had to take this pic for Anden while we were waiting in valet and this baby was too.

He's really into fancy cars right now.

"Mom can we get a Ferrari one day too?!!!"

"Oh honey I would but it doesn't have enough seats for all of us!" :)

....and many other reasons namely the price tag!! haha
