Train Park

Nov 25th, 26th

It's become tradition to visit the Adobe Mountain Railroad Train Park
on Thanksgiving weekend while the Gravens are in town.

So on Friday night we did just that!
Papa Nolie flew into town earlier that day so we got to join us too!

And this year Laiklyn didn't even scream the whole time!
Woohoo! lol

Babies can't ride the train.
So Ryan quickly volunteered to stay behind with Eastlie.

When the train ride ended we usually go see Santa.
But he was sick that day and wasn't there.
No really, he actually was sick.
The kids were bummed but we promised them we would see him another time.
Then we ordered pizza and headed back home to eat!

Well the next day the kids were still wanting to see Santa.
So wouldn't you know it we ended back at the SAME venue again.
The plan was just to see Santa then bail.
But nope they wanted to ride the train through the desert again!

However this time Papa Nolie beat Ryan to the punch and volunteered first
to stay back with Eastlie.
He mumbled something about straddling the mini rickety train
with no back support or foot room causing major hip cramping and charley horses
not being the most comfortable 15 min ride! lol

All aboard!

Bye Papa Nolie...hope you don't forget about sleeping Eastlie in her stroller!

Well tonight Santa and Mrs. Claus were both there!!
Waiting in line to see them.
Laiklyn felt her year older status on Aislynn meant she could push her in the stroller!

Aislynn didn't agree she needed to be strapped down! lol

Kyrrigan was SO excited and hit up the big man first!
But not without hugs for the Mrs first.

The cute Graven girls!

Then it was our family's turn.
While we were in line Taylee in a sheer panic grabs me,
"Mom, quick help me brainstorm something to ask Santa for!!!"
What a cutie! lol
She hurried and decided she wanted soccer goal nets.
Phew just in the knick of time! ;)

Then it was Anden's turn.
It would have been a shorter list for him to tell Santa what he DIDN'T want this year.

Then it was Laiklyn's turn.
I had reminded her right before she walked up that she had wanted a bike.
She climbed right up on his lap and gave him the stink eye stare down.
Not a blink, not a flinch and definitely not a smile.
"Well hello little girl and what do you want for Christmas?"
In a very serious tone she firmly replied,
"I want candy!"
lol omg this kid is the biggest candy nut!

And with that he handed her a candy cane!
Then we jumped in for our little family picture

Then we rounded up all the kids
We took 3 attempts with Santa, Papa Nolie and the grandkids.

Maybe next year Laiklyn, Kyrrigan and Aislynn will look at the camera! lol
Oh wait by then we'll have Eastlie staring the wrong direction too!
