Today we played and played all over Southeast Idaho!
Ryan took the little girls out for a ride early in the morning
and I got to sleep in!!
AHHHHHH the best morning of the trip! lol
I guess I earned that from single parenting it for the last few days! ;)
Then back to play on the swingset
Later during naps the big kids went canal kneeboarding with Papa Nolie and Ryan! lol
After naps we hauled up to Melanie's family's house in Rexburg.
Her brothers had set up the "blob" in their pond.
We just had to experience this ultra redneck thing! haha
When we pulled up I busted up laughing.
So I knew the blob was the big air filled bag that someone sits on
and then several other people jump and it throws the first person into the water.
But the way they had theirs constructed just cracked me up.
They had a full blown huge truck crane that they built a plywood platform
attached to metal chains but with a measly tie down rope hooked to the bottom for the
person to be moved over to sit on the blob.
Then they lifted the platform into the air with exposed nails and cracked wood
until they got to the right position to fall backwards off the platform onto the blob.
OSHA would have shut down this operation in a split second! hahaha
And even better is that the first few times they misjudged where to line up the platform
so when the boys jumped off they basically missed the blob
and crashed into the pond themselves! hahaha
Well Ryan volunteered first to be the human catapult.
Luke and Mel's brother were the hhmm I guess they're the ammo to light the cannon ball! lol
(which they later decided another person to really get Ryan to fly. So my other brother Jordan got conned into joining them on the platform!)
Off the idiots go! ;)
And yes this was the time that they missed 90% of the blob and fell into the water themselves! haha
Next up was Anden.
He's such a dare devil but I was tad worried they would throw him out of the pond
and onto the roof of the house! haha he's not the heaviest kid!
I have to condense the video before it'll let me post! But it's awesome!
Time for the girls to take a ride on the platform
Which then meant all the kids wanted to ride together
The little kids got bored so they headed back over to the house to play on the blow up slide
I glanced over and saw Trex just chillin by himself...in the baby saucer! haha
Taylee and Jazzy are crazy brave girls.
They begged the adults to raise them up high so they could just jump onto the blob!
So I had to run back and forth between the pond and the house to catch the action.
Then Jordan had to do it also! lol
But he decided to really show up the 8-9 year olds with a back flip off the platform instead!
Anden's turn again to be catapulted
At this point I was melting in the 100 degree intense Idaho sun.
So it was back to the house to lounge in the shade
and the crazy littles on the water slide.
Ryan went over to the other side of the yard to check on Laiklyn.
Lynds and I looked over and busted up laughing.
Ummm only in the country do you have all the bikes, scooters, kid toys
and a random wheelchair in the mix too! hahahaha
Poor Eastlie was so hot and sweaty and tired.
But she's a champ to be just drug along everywhere!
We finally loaded up and headed back to Idaho Falls to meet Mom and Brad
at Luke's house.
We ate a yummy dinner and hung out there the rest of the night.
We were so happy that 4 of the 6 siblings were able to reunite for the weekend! :)
The WHOLE gang!!
So fun! Love these people!
And a last ditch attempt with just the cranky tired grandkiddos! lol
(or maybe that was just my little kids!)
But the funniest part of the photo session was during the mom/daughter pic
when Trex was so excited to run up and climb up Grandma's legs for a hug.
But he ended up de-pantsing her instead! hahahaha
Oops bud - those pants were more slippery than you thought! lol
And on that note, we headed on back to Blackfoot.
Before anyone else lost their britches! ;)
