Monday night means...
Family Night at the Lake!
We weren't there for too long before a doozy of a storm rolled in.
And yes the forecast said clear skies and 10% chance of rain all day!!
But of course if we're at the lake, it becomes 100% chance of massive monsoon!!
So we rushed to the dock to load up before we capsized!
The kids were a bit ticked that it was still sunny skies when we headed into the dock.
I kindly pointed out the black wall approaching us.
Oh ok Mom now we see it!
While we were waiting for Ryan to back the trailer down,
the storm hit.
Crazy how fast these things roll in!!
Dust storm "haboob" at it's finest right there
as we were driving out.
So since we left way earlier than we had planned,
we headed to In & Out for dinner!
We just let this peanut pretend she got to eat that whole huge burger! ;)
I texted the kids' friend's mom to let her know we were safe.
She was relieved and sent me pics from home (lives down road from us).
This time Anthem got pounded harder than the lake did.
Phew glad we got off the lake in time!!
When we got back home it had stopped raining.
But our dead grass backyard was a total mud pit.
As I was distracted unloading bags
and Ryan was parking the boat,
guess who found herself outside playing in the mud puddles?!
Oh this child! lol
