Taylee and I tossed around ideas for her birthday party this year.
We've done so many cool ones for her that we had to think of
one that would even top those!
Finally I suggested a Glow in the Dark Party
and she immediately yelled "YES!!!"
So I set out planning the details.
However she's so busy that we couldn't find a night to do the party!
Finally our weekend soccer tourney schedule was released
and Friday night there wasn't a game.
BINGO - Friday night will be the party!
I hurried and finished designing the invites and we texted them out that day.
Sorry no pretty printed invites when the party is only a week away!!
Ryan and I were up until midnight the night before setting it all up in the dark.
We had black lights and fluorescent glow in the dark stuff
everywhere in the backyard!
The girls were all SO excited for this party!
It was their first big "tween" event! lol
So I knew I had to really make it cool for them!
And trust me, it turned out awesome!!
I want this party for myself next time! haha
Introducing...
Taylee's Glow in the Dark Party!
Yes we even put a black light in the front foyer so they would glow on the way in!
I forgot to take a pic of their gift bags until the regular lights were back on! oops
We had black lights and flashing disco lights on the back patio
with Kids Bop tunes blaring!
The girls loved it!!
I had a few games planned that we quickly played...
Glow in the Dark Bowling
Glow in the Dark Ring Toss
Glow in the Dark Volleyball
But really they just wanted to run around crazy with their glow gear!
So they did just that an had a blast!
The party crew!
Cupcakes and Singing in the Glow Lounge (aka Gazebo)!
Following by present time!
Until we realized how many bugs are attracted to black lights!!
Who knew they like black lights over regular lights???!
So we moved the present time indoors!
Then back outside to play!
The whole crew...
including me, Laiklyn and my friend Tess who helped us too!
I love it!!
Now to see what it looks like with the lights on (or flash on!)
We took a few more pics once all the party guests left.
The girls had SO much fun and didn't want to leave!
Happy Birthday my beautiful sweet daughter!!
You are such a doll and a light to everyone that knows you!
