Anden and Ryan have been busy with football
since early January!
They practice twice a week and games on Saturday.
They're definitely having a fun season.
Ryan switched the other coach to run offense this season
instead of defense.
He's really enjoyed giving the team a new game plan.
Anden is still the super star of the team.
I'm seriously so proud of him!
He plays both offense and defense
and is all around the best player on the team.
But the best part...he's still so humble and does whatever the coaches tell him.
He'll make awesome catches and run it in for touchdowns.
Then turn around on the next play and make great gritty defensive stops.
He's continued to improve in all areas of the game.
He's a smart player with great natural talent!
Then there's me...that's wrangling two toddlers on the sideline
while still attempting to watch every play of the game
and cheer my boys along!
Oh and also juggling getting Taylee to/from her soccer games
that almost always overlap with Anden's games!
Oh the life of a sports mom!
But I love it! :)

Game 1 - Jan 13th
Opening Ceremony Season Kick Off
1st Game
Anden starts the game with huge run for touchdown!

We were a few touchdowns ahead and had this game in the bag.
A few mental errors and a pick 6 by the other team
and boom they were caught up and tied with 2 mins left.
I had started to leave to go run to Taylee's game.
Good thing I stopped at the end zone to watch the last couple of mins.
They threw a bomb with seconds left down to Anden and he ran it in for the game winning TD!!
(and yes that's piddly me in the background cheering my boy on! lol)

Game 2 - Jan 20th
This game was "real" football weather!
It was SO cold (per our AZ standards) and raining the entire game!!!
Go figure this was also the only game that Grammie made it to. lol
So she and the girls huddled under the canopy the whole time!
As cold as the boys were,
I think they were kind of giddy about playing sopping wet in the rain!
Although we were playing the best team in the league.
So slippery fields and ball weren't in our favor!
We played tough but lost.
Heck this team went undefeated for the season!
Game 3 - Jan 27th
Sunshine and clear skies
Now that's more like our winters! lol
Anden had another great game, multiple touchdowns and big defensive stops.
This was a fun one for the kids and they got the win!
Game 4 - Feb 3rd
Another great game and another win!
Catch and a looooong run for a touchdown!

Less than 1 yard from the goal line and they finally caught him!!
Luckily we scored on the next play!
Game 5 - Feb 17th
We were out of town for this game!
Rats! I hate missing my kids' events!
So I was in Vegas texting other parents during the game for updates.
Ryan was in Reno on face time with the other coach watching the game!
We were playing against the other top team in the league.
Our record was the same and we knew it would be a hard fought battle.
We traded touchdowns all game.
Then we ended up losing by ONE measly extra point.
The boys were so sad!
But it was a well played game!!

Don't even get me started about how many people in this town
even push their dogs in strollers!!
These are two of Anden's best friends from school!
Davie is the QB on the other team but plays defense too.
And Kal breaks away from one of his first touchdowns ever!!!
Game 6 - Feb 24th
I was out of town again for this game!
But Ryan was sending me updates while I was in Idaho!
And let's just say the updates weren't good.
We ended up losing this one but it was again against the top team.
Not sure how our schedule ended up playing them twice!
Game 7 - Mar 3rd
Double header day!
We were pumped that we were playing 2 teams we already beat.
So we knew our odds were in our favor.
We played awesome and won this game!
Game 8 - Mar 3rd
We had an hour break and then were back on the field for our second game.
This team we played in Game 1 and won.
Well they were definitely an improved team since then!!
We went back and forth with them.
We had the lead most of the game.
But late in the fourth we threw a pick 6 and that put them up a TD.
We ran out of time before we could score again.
So we lost by one touchdown.
The boys were heartbroken!!
Not how we had planned to end the season.
But now we have a chip on our shoulder for the tourney next week!
We know we can beat them if we meet them again!
Oh Laiklyn just wandering the fields while I chased Eastlie.
She was DONE by the time this 2nd game started!
And in for the touchdown!
Anden had an excellent season!!!
Can't wait to see how we do in the tournament next week!
