Anthem Carnival

Date: Mar 22nd

The Anthem Spring Festival is this week.
Which means the carnival is in town!

So we decided to hit up wristband unlimited rides on Thursday night.
Or should I say Ryan and 3 of the kids did.
While me and the pee wee watched in dismay that we were being left out! lol

Anden and Taylee ran off with friends.
So Ryan shoved himself into all the kiddie rides with Laiklyn! lol
Laiky loved all the rides this year!

Literally....I didn't think we were getting him out of that poor race car!

Despite her failed attempt at a smile for the camera,

she really was having a blast!

The carnies let Eastlie sneak in all the kiddie boat ride.

Ya her face wasn't a failed attempt at smiling.

She hated it and cried for me the whole time!

One of the few times we ran into Taylee.

She decided this year that she's not as much as a dare devil anymore and rides scare her now.

Hhhmm ok?

So she purposely sat in the back alone on this one while her friend is in front of her.

She said that way she wouldn't have to see anything other than the back of that seat! lol

Umm this plane will not be ready for take off with that large man in there! lol

while I continued to shove snacks into her mouth to keep her entertained!

Anden wanted Ryan to go on this loop ride with him since his friend chickened out!

Clearly everyone else wimped out too as they were the only ones on the ride! 

Ryan, Anden and Lucas are in the middle on this ride!

Laiklyn was so upset that she wasn't tall enough to go on this one.

I'm like really kid?! You actually want to?

Ryan stuck his feet out for me so I would know which one he was!

From that point the big kids ran off to do the scary rides.

We stayed behind and Ryan took the girls on the Ferris Wheel.

While they were high up in the air,

two different friends of mine that were there as well texted me to tell me

to hurry down to Freak Out because Anden just threw up!

Huh?! Anden never gets sick on rides!

So I clarified, "Did he puke after the ride or during?"

Both replied, "DURING!"

Oh wow I told them I was on my way down now!

(Freak Out is the craziest spinning up and down ride in the whole carnival!)

When I got there Lucas' mom had already cleaned up Anden and he was sitting in the grass.

I felt SO bad!!

So I had them tell me the story.

I guess she could tell me was getting sick during the ride and yelled to her other son to check on him.

They asked if he was ok.

He shook his head no.

So for the entire ride he glued his lips shut and prayed he would make it until it was over.

Just as it was about to end,

he couldn't hold it in any longer and puked all over himself...but luckily not on anyone else!!

He just wanted to go home immediately to change his clothes.

Then his friend tells us....well we went on that ride 5 times in row!!

Uhhhh I no longer feel so bad for you! lol

That's called self torture! lol

Of course you puked!

Needless to say we were all laughing about it later that night after he had showered and felt better!

Then Lucas' Mom texted me this pic later.

"The final moments before the puke!" hahaha

Friday morning as we're walking to school Anden asks me,
"Hey Mom can we go back to the carnival tonight?!"
Uh are glutton for punishment?! lol

Well after school he was still wanting to go back to the carnival.
I guess he wanted to prove his manhood was still in tact.

So I took just him and a few friends again on Friday night.
They met up with a pack of like 10 friends there too.

And guess what?!

He didn't even puke on any rides!! lol

Freak Out....Redemption!
And yes he's the one on the end acting all cool with his arms and feet in the air.
He must have forgotten that this ride owned him just 24 hrs ago! lol

On the way out...this time everyone is all smiles...without puke on them! lol
