Ahhhh to wake up whenever you want
and not because you have kids jumping on you or crying through the baby monitor!!
Yes we fully enjoyed just lounging on our own schedule.
Which don't get me wrong we still woke up around 7am!
Sheesh we couldn't sleep in if we tried! lol
But it was so nice to just do whatever we wanted when we wanted.
We could barely accept that this was real! lol
I think that's our clue that we definitely need more getaways without the kids!
We headed down to the beach and relaxed.
Don't mind the fact that it was totally freezing,
by my standards! lol
(ok it was low 70s...but 60s in the morning/evening)
Sheesh I forget that anywhere we travel this time of year
is actually colder than where we live!!
But it was fun to wear jackets, sweats, hoodies.
You know all the good stuff we can never wear at home! lol
We laughed that this is the first time we've actually laid down on the beach here.
We can barely even sit down when we have the kiddos with us!
Ryan loves his Mango local style...dripping with chili & lime sauce and chili pepper flakes!
Such a mess!! lol
No thanks I'll have mine plain please!

Eventually we got ready and headed into town for dinner.
So far we've only had sub par food here.
We always hear there are great restaurants but nothing has really impressed us thus far.
So we were determined to find a great place.
And we finally did!
This place was so delicious!!
5 star quality food and flavors!
Then we rushed back to our beach to catch the sunset.
Yes I did wear my green for the St. Patty's weekend!

Such a fabulous day!!

After an hour we decided to head back and change to go out riding.
I figured by the time we got done hopefully it would warm up
and I wouldn't freeze in a swimsuit! lol
So we hit the other type of sand instead!
My turn to drive!!
We found an old abandoned arch....mexican graffiti style of course!
Then it was back to the resort to give the beach a second chance!
This is by far the chilliest and windiest it's ever been when we're here.
They had a cold spell that came in right when we did.
Go fig! lol
But I did hear that same cold spell hit Phoenix too.
So at least we were chilly with an ocean view! ;)
(Although Ryan thought the weather was perfect!)
Pina Colada's and Mangoes for the win!
I even got brave and took off my jacket! lol

He seriously looks like he devoured a raw animal after he eats one of these!
Red all over everything including his face!
So gross lol

And we finally did!
This place was so delicious!!

But the best part of our meal was the crazy old lady seated by herself behind us
bossing the waiters around and nit picking everything they did and brought her.
"I asked for 3 meatballs in my soup and there is 4. Please take this back to the chef and remove 1."
That was seriously the most normal thing of everything she requested!
Then he brings her back a new soup and she flags him down (literally arms flailing) that it's too cold.
He takes it back and warms it up for her and brings it back.
Then she complains that there's only 3 meatballs in the soup and she decided she now wants 4.
We were laughing so hard.
It just went on and on the entire time!
Apparently she's a wealthy American who lives there full time
and is a regular at the restaurant.
Same time, same day, same table.
That poor restaurant staff just has to cringe each time she comes in.
But hey we totally loved it for our dinner entertainment! haha
On the way back to the resort we had to stop off at our usual ice cream shop.
Yes it's Thrifty ice cream but somehow it's better here!
Then we rushed back to our beach to catch the sunset.

Soaking up the last night in my 30s

I sure do love having this man all to myself!
