Another amazing day at the cabin!
After breakfast we got bundled up and headed outside to play!
Sledding/Boarding down the deck was first on the list!

We decided to clear the snow on the lake
to make an ice skating rink!
Man was that a lot of work!
But awesome that everyone worked together!
Man was that a lot of work!

We wore Papa Nolie out!!
Yes that is the bench on the dock that he found under the snow! lol
Absolutely love these pics!
The cabin is our happy place!
Love to see everyone grinning ear to ear!
The littles got cold
so Ryan volunteered to take them inside so I could stay outside with the big kids
and finish the ice skating rink.
I found out later they had a Hot Cocoa Tea Party! lol so cute
Then I had the idea (still undecided if it was a good or bad one)
to pull the kids behind the RZR on the snowboard!
I warned them it would be MUCH harder than just going down a hill on their own.
Anden instantly conquered it.
But quickly realized how much it hurts to fall on packed snow with a snowboard!
He still loved it despite the bruised butt!
We called it Snowakeboarding!
I followed along in the other RZR to help Anden
when he fell and get to rope back to him.
I figured we better not break Papa Nolie's only good hip
making him get in and out of the RZR so often!
(and by the time I posted this....um ya Dad has had a hip replacement on said hip. OOPS!!!)
Finally realizing the less packed road banks were a smoother easier ride! (and fall! lol)
Taylee begged and begged for a turn.
She literally cannot be outdone by her big brother.
I warned her that her boots/feet were way too small for the board.
But that didn't stop her.
Away she went too!
Um yes that is our ultra fancy "snowakeboard rope"...complete with a metal tow hook on the end!
I may have suggested to the kids if they keep falling that I would just hook the rope to their pants! lol
Tay couldn't see well through her helmet so she opened the windshield.
Soon after she face planted directly into the snow bank! LOL
Yes Papa Nolie even got out of his RZR to clean the snow off her face
and dig it out of the front of the helmet! lol so funny
She decided to take a break after that.
Something about her face was freezing! ;)
So Anden took the board back over!
Then it was time to haul the ice skates down to the lake and finally try out our hard earned work!!
There was a random assortment of skates.
Luckily there were sizes for most of us....just not Ryan's gigantic size 13s!
Laiky decided laying on the ice was less exhausting than skating! lol
Eastlie was finally awake and ready to play play play!
We stayed out playing until the sun was long gone and our faces and limbs were freezing!!
Then it was back inside for dinner, hot tubbing and card games while shoving
endless snacks into our mouths! :)
