Location: Island Park, ID
We woke up to this amazing sight.
Sometimes heaven really is on earth!
Eastlie was even loving this sunrise.
"Mommy EVERYTHING is pink!"
I guess it's one perk for being the only ones awake at sunrise!
Because this crazy one joined us soon after!
Eastlie took this pic during breakfast I guess! lol
I found it later on my phone.
Eat up Daddy!
Then we bundled up and headed back over to Lakeside Lodge to check out the
Ice Fishing Tournament going on that day!
Definitely a first time for seeing that!
This is the
"Sure Mom have us stare right into the blaring sun and think we're not gonna burn our retinas"
family picture! lol oops
Then we went back to the cabin to go sledding behind the RZRs
Then sledding in the yard
It was abnormally warm today.
The lake was starting to get slushy in areas.
Well what do we do..we head out there to finally use the that slush snow
to make snowballs!!
We've been waiting all trip to have wet snow for good snowballs and snowman building!
I warned Taylee not to get into a brawl with him.
He doesn't take it down a notch for kids.
Hhmmm and here's the proof.
Taylee obviously tripped and is unarmed and vulnerable.
So he moves in for the kill anyway!!!
Luckily she lived through the cheap shot to continue the fight! lol

The last thing on our Idaho trip bucket list...make a snowman!
Luckily he didn't set a height requirement on that item! haha
Little Eastlie would sneak out of nowhere and smash the snowman
completely flat before we could block her hand!!
Every single time we built one...SMASH it was gone! lol
Anden finally outsmarted her and intervened on this one! lol
She's such a spunky mischievous silly little girl!!
With snowflakes on her massive long eyelashes! lol
It was so nice and "warm" outside!
The kids played so long without even getting cold or needing to come in!
Finally we decided that we should probably start our long journey back to AZ today
instead of waiting until tomorrow.
That way we could have half a day to recoup and get a good night's sleep in our own beds
before going back to work/school.
The kids were SO bummed about leaving late that afternoon instead of early the next morning.
Clearly Eastlie was still crying when we took our traditional final pose on the back deck!
(at least Laiky was trying to fake she was kind of happy! lol)
One with Papa Nolie!
He's just smiling to get rid of us! haha just kidding
Papa Nolie and the kids
Somebody didn't tell him it wasn't silly face pose yet! lol
Really?!
Now he asks why nobody else is doing silly face...when they all are but him!! haha
On that note,
we loaded up the cars and headed on out.
The big kids rode with Papa.
The littles with us.
I drove so that Ryan could sleep for the 2 hours before we got back to Blackfoot.
I figured he's gonna have a LONG night ahead of him driving through to Phoenix.
The final view of the lake with the swans
and a few snowmobilers crashing my pic!
10 mins in and my carload were all passed out!
Good bye snow, pine trees and mountains!
We stopped in Idaho Falls real quick because Ryan HAD to get 483 gallons of
Reed's Chocolate Milk to haul back to Phoenix!
Then it was on to Blackfoot.
We pit stop there for a quick dinner and to grab the last of our belongings.
Then it was right back into the car for another TWELVE hour drive
right through the entire night!
Ryan was a trooper and did the entire drive by himself
while the rest of us slept!
We pulled into our home about 8am.
Eastlie woke up as we pulled into our garage.
She literally started crying.
"NO NO NOT ARIZONA! I WANT TO GO BACK TO IDAHO!!"
She wouldn't get out of her carseat.
No joke.
I just left her there while I unpacked the seats and got the rest of the kids in the house.
Finally she decided she would give "home" a try
and came inside with me! lol
Once inside she realized that Christmas was frozen in time at our house
and that she had plenty of new toys to play with!
And just like that Idaho got tossed aside! ;)
We just LOVE our Idaho trips!!!
So many amazing memories made each time we head north!
And with that...I plan to shower and sleep for 3 days straight!
Oh wait, as if my children would ever let me do either one of those things!!
