December 15th
First we started our Christmas Eve with a Dog Hunt.
Maxx the Wonder Mutt had escaped through
the OPEN RV gate.
Some call it a Christmas Nightmare
Others (myself) call it a Christmas Miracle.
Run Maxxers, Run!! (JUST KIDDING!)
Luckily a nice neighbor called us
10 minutes into the search.
She found him in the park
and was walking him back to us right then.
I secretly patted myself on the back.
for twisting Jer's arm
to buy the poor mutt an ID tag
just 2 weeks ago.
After Maxx was securely back at home,
we headed out on our AZ Sleigh Ride
to deliver gifts to the neighbors
and look at Christmas Lights!
Upon our return, the kids got to open their one Christmas Eve present.
Anden: "It better be a toy!"
Mommy: "Don't get your hopes up!"
Somehow he must have forgotten it's always new jammies.
Anden: "I TOLD YOU I WANTED A TOY!!!!!"
As he graciously hurled his new jammies across the room
and crumpled into heap crying.
I quickly commanded Jeremy to remove the pint size GRINCH
from the room as to not disturb Taylee's jammies moment.
After a quick breather, all were smiles again!
Cookies & Milk preparations were in full force.
Taylee: "This is for Santa!"
Taylee: "But I'm just gonna taste a wittle bit!"
And we're going to taste his cookies too!
Polar Express Time
Choo Choo!!
After all this fun,
they were whisked to bed with sugar plums (OK just sugar)
dancing in their heads.
Now the real preparations begin....
