Dirtball

I jokingly sent this pic to my fam yesterday,
"On my way to softball to die of heat exhaustion while running the bases"

What I didn't realize,
is that I was going to die of dirt inhalation instead.

The Haboob enclosed around us.
Of course they would never cancel the games though.

So we played through intense winds,
dusty low visibility
dirt clods pelting us in the eyes, ears, face, arms, legs and of course teeth.
Batting with one eye open.
Fielding with mitts on our heads.
While dodging fence shrapnel that was blowing across the infield.
And then the sprinkle of rain started.
Just enough to cement the dust into mud.

Sweet.

I attempted to take a video during the middle of the storm.
All you can hear is the wind howling so loud!
You don't know that I about choked on a dirt clod while I was opening my mouth to narrate!

And to think my brother Luke was starting his "Fall Ball" softball league in Idaho last night too.
And was complaining about having to wear hoodies because it was chilly.
Um ya, wanna trade now?! :-)
