Idaho Summer Trip 2011 - July 26

Tuesday, July 26
Island Park, Idaho

We were up early to play ALL day!

Lake Time

And then there's always a little mishap.
Unfortunately it usually involves Taylee.
Poor little thing was running down the dock ramp
and got a sliver in her foot.
She was hopping and crying.
It wasn't until I picked her up that we realized how
AWFUL
this sliver (aka broken off tree trunk) was.

It was wedged down so deep from the entry point.
We had no other option but to perform "surgery" on her.
I held her tight and Lynds held down her legs
while Aaron had to use a razor blade to slice her foot open to get it out.
It was traumatizing for all involved.
Everyone in the room was crying.
The back up back up back up emergency binky
was even dug out of the depths of my suitcase to ease the pain.

But we all survived.
I think the adults are permanently scarred though.

So after our makeshift ER stint,
I dumped the kids into bed for naps.
We needed a breather before the next accident occurred!

After naps, full force playing resumed.

FINALLY Luke, Mel, Brylee & Jeslynn arrived.
The kids could barely contain their excitement!

Then we loaded up and headed into West Yellowstone.
We were meeting all the Hone cousins for dinner at the park
before heading to the Playmill Theater.

They ran into construction and were late.
So we had lots of time to play in the park!

And poor little Taylee limped around on her tippy toes the rest of the trip.
But you wouldn't know she was wounded, she kept right up with the others!

Finally the Hones arrived,
we shoved "dinner" in our mouths in 5 minutes
and rushed to the play!
High School Musical
was awaiting us!
(yes like 50 of us! lol)

The Hone & Furniss grandkids posing with Sharpay after the play!

And my fave picture of the day.
Anden REALLY had to pee on the drive back to the cabin.
This just happened to be where we pulled over.

"Welcome to Anden's Hose"

At least he only "litters" on the Montana side
and not the Idaho side!
