After our brush with danger with the Haboob Lake Trip,
we decided to stay on land from now on during the Monsoons!
After dinner the rain hit.
I've given up trying to keep my kids inside during the storms!
Once the rain finished we could hear the weirdest noises from the wash behind our fence.
Ryan told us it was frogs.
We didn't believe him.
So we decided to go check it out.
Ryan and us girlies loaded into the Ranger and went frog hunting!
And wouldn't you know it Ryan was right.
I guess the flooded wash brings out the Toads!
But they definitely don't sound like a cute "ribbit"
they sound like a dying cow mooing! lol
Then of course while we were at it we had to sneak off into the desert
to off road through mud puddles
before heading on home!
And now when we ask Laiklyn what sound froggies say,
she no longer says a cute high pitched "ribbit!"
She makes a low growling noise "BAHHHHH!" lol
