Somehow I missed the memo that the kids didn't have school
on Columbus Day.
No offense Columbus,
but when did this become a non school holiday?!
So I scrambled to entertain my 5 kiddos all day instead.
(yes Owen is my 5th child. Just ask Laiklyn. She seriously thinks he's her brother!)
By 9am there was multiple complaints that they were bored.
This was gonna be a LONG day!
So it was Wendy's for a picnic lunch at the park.
I learned from the last picnic swim at the park
to not sit so close to the water this time! haha
The boys hung at the skate park
while the girls went to the big playground.
I tried to keep Eastlie locked down as long as possible.
I'm so over this crawling stage.
But luckily she was content just eating everyone's scraps.
lol sorry 4th child problems.
It was a fun little park day and we even ran into some of my fave old time friends, Holly and kids!
Then it was back home for afternoon naps
and to listen to Anden continue to tell me he's bored and what else are we doing today Mom?
The concierge is closed sir.
Please use your imagination to find something to do.
Luckily we still had sports practices for the 3 older kids from 4pm on to keep them busy.
Sports don't take a break for 'ole Columbus.
