Yes you read that title correctly.
We woke up to find SNOW covering our backyard!!
Total shock and disbelief!
I even ran outside to scoop it up to verify that it was really snow!
YEP it's really snow folks!!!!
Then it was back home to make sure our snowman was still alive!
The snow was quickly melting.
We call Ryan in total excitement and send him our pics!
He texts back what it looked like when he left for work earlier that morning!!
Holy cow!
That's a sight I thought I would never see on our cars! lol
After we got the big kids to school,
the littles and I took a drive around Anthem to check out all the snow!!
That's Daisy Mountain in front of us.
It was still snowing so much that you can't even see the mountain!
And there's the Country Club golf course!
Then we went a mile north of Anthem to really get some good shots!
The snow was quickly melting.
So we brought him inside to decorate him
and then we put him in the freezer to save for Daddy!
Such a FUN day!!
This happens about every 10 years that snow actually lands in parts of the city.
It was all over in Anthem, Cave Creek and North Scottsdale today.
It's the first time there has been this much at our own house!!
Exciting to say the least! :)
We were texting all of our Idaho family about our fun freak snowstorm.
Dady replies with a picture of his frozen tundra backyard,
"Enjoy your one day of desert snow fun! I'm going on 4 months!!"
lol ok ya that wouldn't be so exciting!!
By the afternoon the snow was all melted.
There was just a bit still up high in the mountains surrounding Anthem.
The littles and I drove around to check it out again before naps!
Turning onto our street!
Yep still some snow up on the mountain!
Checking it out from our backyard!
Taylee had a soccer tourney that was supposed to start that night
down in Phoenix.
Yep her game for that night got cancelled!
Once I told Ryan he immediately said,
"OK I'm coming home! Let's go play in the desert!!"
We have to make use of any unexpected free night we get!
Later a friend posted this picture and had me cracking up.
Even this cactus was shocked by the snow storm!
