Pool Build 2019 - Tile, Travertine, Pebble Sheen Selection

Date: June 28th

Today Taylee and I snuck over to the Pool Builder's showroom
to finally make the color selections for the pool!
We have been so busy that I've yet to get down there.
(their office is about an hour away!)
Then we realized that we might be in Idaho when they start the cosmetic stuff.
So we had to hurry and finalize the details before we left on our vacation!

Well I walk in and didn't expect to have SO many choices to pick from.
Ummm that made it much more difficult!!

The little girls were in naps with Anden as the babysitter.
Ryan was hurrying home from work.
So I knew that Taylee and I had to be quick to get back to our other events that day!
No pressure right!?!

Well I had a vision of what I was wanting.
So I figured out how to make it work!
The workers were helpful but then just let me take over! lol
They haven't had a customer do yet what I was thinking in my head.

We narrowed it down to a few different patterns.
Then we laid it out on the floor and starting swapping around the pieces.

Finally we selected the official travertine, pool tiles and pebble sheen color!
I knew I liked it...but I was so worried how it was going to look in reality
and if my family...aka my husband...would like it too!! lol

I got home and showed the pictures to Ryan and Anden.
They both said..."uhhh it looks like a grandma style!!"
I about died! lol

I told them to just trust me!
So way late that night I hopped onto my computer
and designed in photoshop the exact pattern layout for the waterfall wall.
It's the focal point of the pool and I wanted to make sure it was perfect!
And I wanted my family to approve before the builder special ordered the design tiles!! lol

Once the family saw the design they immediately said,
"Oh ok now that looks way better!"
PHEW!!
This is a ton of money spent for them to not like the final look of the pool!! lol

I then emailed over the design to the builder and said - ok make this happen!
He thanked me for the detailed design and raved about how it looked!
And yes my drawing was to scale and told him exactly how many tiles we would need! :)

Now to say a little prayer that I indeed would still love it once it was installed!!
Because I just got everyone on my team of liking this design! haha
