Pool D Day didn't go quite as expected.
We were told that they would dig the entire pool in just ONE day!
Well that clearly didn't happen.
In fact they barely worked a half of day!
But the crew was back the next morning at the crack of dawn
to jack hammer away at the sheer rock backyard!
Once they could break apart the rock shelf,
things started moving much quicker!
One machine would jackhammer.
Then they would switch to the bucket attachment and scoop out the dirt.
Then the bobcat would cruise back and forth
scooping dirt from the pile and taking it to the front street to dump in their dump truck.
Well oiled process that's for sure!
Just enjoying the AC and having ice cream cones
while watching the workers! lol
Well the equipment broke again and the crew had to call it quits early.
The 1 day dig was now going to turn into 3 days!!
The kids loved inspecting our new rocky hole in the backyard!
Wednesday June 5th: Day 3 Pool Dig
Almost finished!!
The carnage to the rest of our backyard was awful!!
I totally underestimated how badly they would tear up EVERYTHING!!
I thought for sure leaving a little patch of turn for the kids
and just rolling the edge would give the workers plenty of room!
UGH hope we can salvage that turf after all this!!

Sorry buddy, you shaded us for a lot of years.
But it's time for something else in your place!
Then the next morning I took some pictures of the final view of the freshly dug pool!
And the disaster they left behind in their path!! UGH!
Then some evening shots of the soon to be pool!
I finally can believe this is truly happening!!!
Bring on the next step of this pool building process!!
Hopefully it involves "clean up"!
The dust and mess is already driving me nuts and I'm only 3 days into this 60 day build!
