The kids were ecstatic that we were FINALLY in Idaho.
But we were all NOT so ecstatic that there wasn't a spec of snow!!
What in the world are you supposed to do outside
when it's 20 degrees
and NO snow?!
Little did we know that this was going to be our dilemma
for the ENTIRE trip!
Needless to say I have a beef with Santa.
Because that's all I asked for.
We spent a lot of time going stir crazy inside.
Riding the rocking horse, on the couch, under a blanket = Super Safe!

Picking our Idaho Winter Dried Lips
Cuddling with the most non cuddleable object while watching cartoons
Then we improvised in order to keep the cabin fever at a minimum.
Let me first gripe that spending 15 mins putting on snow clothes
to go outside when there is NO snow,
is completely overrated.
But the cold deemed it still necessary.

We then spent some time watching Dad & Anden use the tractor
to help some random neighbor
load some random redneck contraption
onto his redneck trailer.
We had to take a picture of the neighborly rednecks helping each other.
Then we went back home and played in the shop.
But not until after we fired up the propane heater
or should I say the completely non kid safe open flame propane heater.
Which meant my kids were obsessed with it.

All while Taylee & I sat warmly in the truck
laughing at the spectacle.

Once they were toasty enough,
or had enough propane ingestion,
they rescued all the sandbox play tractors
that had been moved into the shop for the winter.
And since there's no snow, they took them right back outside!
Later that day I found Anden basking in the warmth of the kitchen floor heater.
Clearly my Arizona child took the heater theme to a new level
Finally at 5pm sharp when all our employed family members were off work,
(seriously doesn't everyone get all of Dec off work?! lol)
we were there on their doorstep ready to play!
It was COUSIN reunion time!
They ate
They snuggled
They played games
And of course they beat the crap out of each other!
Then we finally headed out to look at neighbor's lights/decorations.
Who dressed these orphans??....MOM! lol
Eventually we loaded up and headed back to Blackfoot!
13 more days of this fun still to come!
