Date: Monday 12/19

Location: Island Park, ID

Today was our last day at the cabin.

Sad.

But we made the most of sledding in the morning.

Exploring

Uncovering the Frozen Ice Lake 

Indulging in some snow eating

Making Snow Angels

And even I got to play instead of being photographer!

(except one is face down in order to multitask snow eating & angel making)

Seriously?!

And then to his surprise, his face was cold and hurting.

Hmmmmm

So I cleaned him off

And again

And he was back to happily snow surfing

I decided to call it quits and head into the cabin to pack

before anyone got hurt in the final hour before we left.

Anden decided he want to make ONE last sledding run down the deck stairs.

I should have trusted my motherly instinct.

So ya he went Clark Griswald style flying down and shot

STRAIGHT face first into the wooden frozen dock.

Needless to say I dropped the camcorder and flew down there to get him.

Luckily there were frozen objects everywhere to "ice" the wound on his cheek.

After the mini crisis, we cleaned the place and loaded up.

But not without eating another souvenir

This is how we all felt that we had to leave.

(but really it's cuz she found out we were leaving the rhino, no worries hon there's 2 more back at Papa's!)

Ahh there we go!  Back to smiles!

And back to video games for Anden.

And back to masking my sadness too that we were leaving!

Taylee spent the next 2 hour drive pounding down candy

While Anden conquered all levels of Angry Birds

But of course our day never ends just there.

We hung out in Blackfoot for a couple of hours

and then headed back up to Idaho Falls for dinner at Luke's house!

Then we eventually drug our tired little selves back to Blackfoot to crash for the night!
