Per tradition,
we assembled the Gratitude Tree
throughout all of November.
It was so fun to see how much the kids have grown up from last year.
It was so fun to see how much the kids have grown up from last year.
They were super thoughtful about what they were thankful for.
Anden would constantly want to add things like
"I'm thankful for my Mommy"
"I'm thankful for kissing & hugging my Mommy"
"I'm thankful for watching TV on the couch with Mommy"
"I'm thankful for the best Mommy ever!"
As much as I wanted to indulge in my beloved moment,
I immediately questioned his motives and what he had secretly broken/hurt/done wrong!
Each day we added one of their hand prints to the tree.
This year I allowed Anden to have creative control of the design of the tree.
Clearly.
But hey, it still taught the same lessons!
(and yes the entire tree is now down, except that last hand!
It'll be there until my dad comes back so I can stand on his head to reach it)
