Today was the day we had counted down for months;
The day we ventured to the snowy cabin!
But not without stopping off and watching Brylee's basketball game first!
And building human sandwiches with the mats in the back of the gym.
And yelling "GO BRY LEE" so loud that I thought we were gonna get kicked out!
After the game, we loaded back up and continued the trek to the cabin.
INSTANT GIDDY MOOD!
(for me at least!)
After movie boredom set in,
we started a car party.
And then sweet little Taylee always takes it to her own level
Upon arrival, the kids immediately reacquainted themselves with the toybox.
Not sure why this is a FIRST priority,
but it always is!
Checking out the wildlife and REAL snow conditions!
Then we quickly geared up and headed outside.
Where the 1st order of business is to eat the snow.
Again, don't ask me why.
Then we broke out the snow toys.
Even Island Park had pathetic amounts of snow this year.
But we creatively made the most of what we had!
The we took the kids out sledding behind the rhino.
This year was unique in the fact that because the weather
was SO cold but very little snow
it made the lake COMPLETELY frozen.
No slushy spots at all!
Thus it became our backyard sledding park!

A couple of Moose even made an appearance across the lake.
Sadly the sun set and we had to head inside.
But the fun continued.

Then went hot tubbing!
Where they started out cautious.
And then it became a full blown 100 degree swim party outside in the snow!
But at least it sucked out the last bit of their energy!
Snuggling with Cousins and then off to bed!
