Papa Nolie got drug around to all of our events throughout the weekend.
He was probably thankful to go back to Idaho and relax!
We loaded up and were at the soccer fields at 8:45am!
Taylee had her usual game face on
First up: Anden
They won again!
Somehow I didn't get a lot of pictures.
Taylee had my camera most of the time.
Taking shots of every blade of grass.
After one of the many goals!
Mid Game Entertainment
Between the kids' games,
Anden's team had their team photos.
I bootlegged my own copy.
Anden was beaming.
Literally.
He doubles as a human flashlight.
Then we hauled back over to the Pee Wee fields for Taylee's game!
Oh wait, after a melting ice cream pit stop at McDonalds in between.
Taylee is SO fun to watch!
Dad was cracking up the whole time.
She plays for a bit.
Then wanders off the field to take a break for a bit.
Then goes back into the game at any point.
Their poor team got slaughtered.
They only had 5 kids at the game.
Which meant only 3 at the most were playing at one time.
Tad bit of an advantage for the other team!
The big brothers attentively cheering them on.
In the second half,
I was just cheering on the sidelines without my camera.
The other team drove the ball towards our net.
Right as they went to kick it in for a clear goal
Taylee jumps in front of the ball and blocks the hard kick
square in her shins.
She then corrals the ball
and dribbles right up the middle
of the sea of kids.
We were cheering and screaming and dying laughing.
She was knocking kids out of her way and
going around other kids.
The pack was desperately following her!
She dribbled the entire field and
BOOM
kicks it into their net for a goal!
We were all so excited and couldn't stop laughing at what just happened!
She rushes all the way back down to the other side where we were
and yells with unabashed excitement
"I KNOCKED DOWN A BOY!"
Really?
The first thing out of your mouth wasn't that you scored a goal?
Then of course came the bribery remembrance
"NOW I GET A BARBIE!!"
(ya so she gets a barbie for every goal, not for knocking down boys)
I'm so sad that I didn't get that little escapade on camera.
But it's deeply ingrained in my memory.
And Dad and the other parents saw the whole thing too!
I still giggle when I picture that little feisty aggressive
adorable pony tailed soccer player
elbowing her way down the field!
So that was an excellent way to end.
Because she was too hot and tired to play after that!
Well except for team handshakes
and running through the Parent Tunnel.
