It's finally here!
Happy Halloween!!
We have so many festivities leading up to Halloween Day,
that I'm throwing out candy as quickly as it's coming in!
But the kids (and myself) love it!
Today they both had Halloween Parties at school.
Taylee got to dress up in costume for her party.
She was a "Nice Witch"!
The preschool kids go trick or treating to the high school classrooms.
Clearly they're a hit and all the teachers spoil the heck out of them!
Do you think she made a haul with the candy?!
Her teacher emailed me a class picture of the little monsters!
After I picked her up from school and took her to the sitter,
I was lucky enough to get to go help at Anden's school party!
His school is strict and rarely allow parents.
So I was definitely excited to be invited.
Today was a special day for him too.
They had "dress down day"
where they could wear normal clothes instead of the school uniform.
However they had to buy a $1 ticket from student council to participate.
It made my heart happy to hear that they're teaching our kids
lifelong morals and principles.
That you can in fact buy your freedom.
So Anden & I carefully and thoroughly selected which outfit to wear.
Super Mario shirt was the winner.
He was so cute and excited when he saw me walk into class!
Which really did make my heart happy
that he's still young enough to run up and give me a huge hug
and be proud that I'm there.
This was the first time I've been inside his classroom during hours.
The kids were all so well behaved.
His teacher is amazing and has complete control & respect of the 20 little kids.
I figured kindergarten would be controlled chaos.
So I was pleased to see nobody even blinks without permission.
The kids watched a Disney Halloween cartoon,
ate tons of treats,
made a craft,
played Candy Corn Alphabet Bingo
and had a great time!
Anden was more than thrilled to have me meet his friends,
help with the craft,
sit at his table
and hold his hand.
These are truly the moments in life that I cherish.
I'm so thankful to have a job that allows me to be a Mom
first and foremost.
