Anden's Bedroom Reveal

As I mentioned a couple weeks ago,
I undertook remaking Anden's bedroom.
And it all started with this.

I found some adorable baskets and storage totes at Home Goods
in lime green/navy color scheme that I'm loving on right now.
I bought them all.
And then debated for two weeks if I should really redo his room because
of a lousy basket.
Then I decided yes indeed I should!!

We've lived in Anthem almost 5 yrs now.
It's time for him to have a change
and a bigger bed!

So as I mentioned I found a steal of a deal on Craigslist for a bunk bed
then refinished it from pine to espresso.

Then the room painting and decorating began.
I was on a slim budget so
I reused a lot of his decor and just repainted it.
Luckily I had family come into town for Easter.
Because that pushed me to wrap up this makeover quickly!

I'm still undecided on how I'm going to refinish his dresser/nightstands.
(espresso, distressed white, or distressed lime green)
But other than that, I'm done!

So here's the big reveal....!

I'm now in love with this room
and it makes me smile each time I walk in.

My favorite part of the entire space are the custom designs I made
for the huge white bead board frames.

I scoured the internet and stores looking for the perfect artwork.
But alas I couldn't find anything I loved.
So I decided to make my own in Photoshop.
And yes those silhouettes
are actually my super stud son Anden.

Needless to say his entire body grinned when I showed it to him!
What kid wouldn't want super cool pics of themselves?

Here's the action shots before I edited them.

So now Anden has a big boy room that he can grow with.
Then with each sport/hobby phase,
I'll just design and swap out new pictures.

I can't believe how fast he's grown up!
I did sniffle when I took down his "anden" sign I made for him when he turned 2 yrs old.

But it's time for a new chapter
and now we're ready for the next exciting phase in his life!

And later I added this little treasure of a nightstand...
