Stoner

Friday morning started just like any other morning.
Mad rush and chaos
getting everyone ready, fed, bags packed
and out the door to school.
I dropped off the kids and headed on my way to work.
Then it dawns me that my laptop bag is sitting on the kitchen counter!
URGH!
Which means I had to turn around and backtrack 30 mins to get it.
Irritating to say the least.

So at 8:45am when I finally arrived at work,
I began the mad scramble of catching up.
Well at 9:15 is when my day took a dramatic turn
for the worse.
I'm sitting at my desk and suddenly get hit with excruciating lower right back pain
then excruciating cramping/groin pain.
Then the dizziness, nausea, hot sweats all hit too.
I immediately wanted to die.
I hurried and laid down on my office floor as to not pass out.

Unfortunately I've experienced this nightmare before.
And knew what it must be.
Kidney Stones.

So a long story short,
I took all the strength and grit I had to drive myself to Urgent Care.

I was sobbing and doubled over in pain.
I'm usually a tough cookie.
But this was worse than child labor.
Luckily they quickly got me back to a room where I could
moan, sob, puke and thrash around the bed in private.
They confirmed there were "massive amounts" of blood in my urine
and most definitely I had kidney stones.
They gave me a pain shot in the ole buttocks.
It didn't do a thing.
So later they gave me their heaviest dose in the other butt cheek.
Finally it took the edge off
and sent me to another dimension.
I was so loopy I could barely form sentences.
I was lectured by the Dr that my body was extremely dehydrated and exhausted
and sent on my way with a stash of Percocet
and my handy dandy pee strainer.

I had updated Ryan when I left for Urgent Care.
I told him not to miss work since there was nothing he or I could do anyway.
Luckily he ignored my stubbornness
and showed up there anyway.
Because there was no way I could have driven my drugged up self home
and fill my prescription,
and pick up lemonade/gatorade (Dr said drinking water alone wasn't enough)
and get the kids from school.
I was already half asleep/half dead and wasn't moving anytime soon.

Once I had  pain pills in me,
I could start to breathe and move again.
But now I was dealing with the effects of being high.
Not sure which is worse.
Excruciating pain
or
dizziness, nausea, drowsiness, double vision, floating.
I opted for the second set of symptoms.

Well life doesn't just stop when you get sick.
I had a baby shower I was hosting  which still had to be set up Friday night.
2 soccer games to juggle Saturday morning
and then the Baby Shower afterwards.
I literally pleaded with God to help me get through all of this alive.

Update:
Tuesday and I still feel awful.
Any suggestions??
I really don't want to end up back in the hospital.
