Soccer Games #2

Soccer Games #2
April 20, 2013

Due to my unforeseen random kidney problems,
this weekend was a total blur.
I honestly don't know how I even got through it.
A lot of prayers, tears, grit, and drugs.

Saturday was an extremely busy day for me.
And unfortunately a bout of kidney stones couldn't postpone the events.
The show must go on.

I got up early and finished prepping the house for Holly's Baby Shower.
Then I left the door unlocked for Audra to bring the food over
while I rushed to the soccer fields for Anden's game at 9am.

He has had a week long cold/sniffles and definitely wasn't his usual aggressive self.
He just kinda lingered in the back of the pack,
twirling his hair,
halfway running
and basically just looked completely uninterested.
I felt bad for the poor kid.
Likewise I was doubled over in pain too but tried to fake I was ok as well.

Luckily Grandma Kathy and Papa Larry came to the games
to help juggle the kids too since I had to leave early for the baby shower.

Anden's team did well but the other team was awesome.
And huge!
Hhmm birth certificate check huh?
We lost 3-2.
Anden didn't have a goal.
Which saved me money.
(yes yes I still pay the kids $1/goal!)
But I was proud of him for fighting on despite not feeling well!
It was apparently the theme of the day.

Anden's proudest moment of the game occurred when
he managed to catch a ladybug during the middle of the game.
Grandma and I noticed that he was staring at his hand
while the rest of the kids around him were dog fighting for the ball.
Then he cupped his hand and tried to go on playing
while still protecting his cupped hand.

Immediately we knew he must have a captured a new pet!
I hollered to him from the sideline.
"Anden what did you find?!?"
He proudly beams back,
"A LADYBUG!!"
So I motioned for him to come over.
He darts over to the sideline,
while the game is still going on,
and transfers the ladybug safely to us! lol
Priorities people.

The second the game finished we shuffled over to the next field for Taylee's game.
I was so bummed that I could only stay at her game for 10 mins
because the Shower was starting at my house in 45 mins!
Well Taylee made the most of my 10 mins of watching
and scored a goal in the first 2 mins of the game!
Woohoo!

Proudly carrying the ball to half field after her goal!

Taylee also was bummed that I could stay for Anden's game but not hers.
So I promised her we would do something fun afterwards.
She begged to come to the Baby Shower.
So luckily Grandma dropped her off after the game!
Sweaty and all!
But beaming that she made THREE goals!
