Happy Easter to all my favorite
I absolutely love Easter!!
Not just because of all the adorable spring colors
or the festive crafts and activities
or the spring fever giddyness in the air,
but because it's also a time to really reflect on Jesus' life and all he gave for us.
So when you combine all those things together
it makes for an all around great day! :)
We had an action packed day.
Once everyone woke up,
we dug into our Easter Baskets!
My poor kids were up so early and had already bathed and changed!
After waiting an hour they were beyond ready and breaking down the guest room door! lol
Then we made a big Easter breakfast
while the little ones played!
After breakfast was the much anticipated Easter Egg Hunt!
Taylee showed us her basket was definitely big enough!
Everyone to the START line!
Ready, Set, GO!
Finally it was egg counting time!
Along with candy eating time!
There were 12 special eggs this year that also had a paper egg inside.
The 12 pieces of paper each read a part of the Resurrection story.
After our mini lesson about the real meaning of Easter,
it was time to get dolled up for Church!
Not too shabby 40 minutes later!
Then off to church we went!
Afterwards I wanted a few more pictures before we
transformed back into peasants!
Now the real work begins (for me) and play for others.
We invited Ryan's family up for Easter dinner also.
I only had a few days to pull it all together.
We all know cooking isn't my inherent skill.
So it was a tad stressful but came together wonderfully!
Good thing I had extra hands to help!
And yes I made my first Easter Ham!
Well actually my first Easter meal at all lol.
All 14 of us devoured right through it!
The younger kids had a blast at their own outdoor table!
And that's unfortunately the only pics I got of dinner.
I was a tad busy to say the least!
Afterwards we had another Easter Egg Hunt!
Then just played and chatted the rest of the day!
I hope you all had a very happy Easter as well!
