Lake Trip

We fit in another Monday lake trip this week.

Ryan's dad is still in town so he came along for the crazy fun!

The kids loved having Papi there!!

It was Taylee's turn to be the first one in the water!

She chose to kneeboard.

She cracks us up and just sings to herself out there.

Without even getting her hair wet the whole time.

That's my girl! lol

Then we taught Papi how to kneeboard next.

He's just a tad bigger than Taylee ;-)

So it was a bit harder for him but he mastered it!

Next Anden chose to try out the new kids wakeboard.

He got up each time but went down shortly after.

He decided his arms needed a break so we threw him in the kneeboard instead.

I'm the driver and the photographer

so guess I didn't get pics of him! oops!

But he did come chill with me after and ate a whole full size bag of chips

while I was distracted with driving!

Luckily I brought two bags so Taylee could finish off the other one!

C'mon kids it's only 4pm and you're really that starving?!

After Ryan wakeboarded he then impressed the kids by doing 7 360s

in a row on the kneeboard.

I didn't want to steal his thunder and remind him kneeboards are really for kids lol

These two seemed to find us every time we stopped to switch riders!

Maybe it's because Taylee was giving them hefty rations of Doritios!

Finally we aired up the tube and spent the rest of the evening willingly

choosing to be beat up on that!

Good times!! :)

At one point it was just the boys out there.

I stopped to check on them.

Anden yelled that he found a wild donkey.

I'm like um honey you're smack in the middle of two of them!!

But nope his little eyes really did spot a donkey on the shore line.

So we drove past and waved to it!

Before we took off again

Taylee and I looked back to check on the boys

and somehow they were all flipped upside down in the water laughing their butts off.

They just might be a little too big for the tube when they can't get in

without knocking everyone else over!

So while the boys struggled to get back in the tube,

the girls fed our stalker ducks!

Then we were back in action!

Finally it was 5:30 and we pulled into our usual cove for dinner.

The kids had been begging to eat since 3pm.

Hhmm I think somebody might have not eaten their lunches at school!

So we ate.

And the ducks ate.

Then even I relented and got into the cold water!

Well actually I made threats not to get the cold water on me

while I tubed with the kids! :)

And yes I did squeeze myself into my size small life jacket.

I may or may not have cut off air circulation to myself and the baby.

But we survived nonetheless!

Eventually we made our way back into the dock before sunset.

Anden & Ryan always want to tube surf the long drive back in.
