My favorite 3 people brought me breakfast in bed on Sunday morning!
They were beaming with pride and excitement.
Homemade waffles with syrup, whip cream and strawberries on top
complete with cards and gifts!
Mmm Mmm
As I was opening their cards,
this crazy bed head kid
(honestly it's this crazy every morning! lol love it!)
decided to take a bite out of my strawberry.
At that point he immediately leaned over my breakfast plate and
gasped,
gagged,
drooled blood,
spit blood,
and out came a bloody tooth
right into my yummy whip cream waffle.
Ryan look mortified.
Taylee was shocked.
I stared in disgust but yet amazement
then just busted up laughing.
Seriously isn't this the epitome of Motherhood?!
Lol it's the thoughts that count!
So breakfast in bed, that never happen, got postponed
while I jumped up and cleaned up the blood oozing out of his top gums.
Finally we made our way out of my bedroom to find
streamers, balloons and flowers throughout the house!
I love my little family!!
Then we made the second attempt at breakfast!
This time on the back patio.
I guess Taylee decided to sneak a shot of whip cream while we were distracted with picture taking!
Then we spent the rest of the morning doing school projects.
You never really get to take a "day off" from being a Mom!
Eventually it was time to get ready and head to church.
The kids went up front and sang to the Mothers during the main meeting.
That's always such a treat for me!
They learned a new song this year that I absolutely love.
"The Family is of God"
The chorus is so catchy that I would hear Taylee randomly singing it throughout the week
and it melts my heart each time!
Ryan snuck the usual picture.
Taylee & her friend Brinlee were the front row wiggly blurs.
Anden got warned not to stand right behind her and bug her.
So he's on the left hand side 2nd row.
After church we snapped a few pictures
then headed down to visit Ryan's family for the evening.
Me and my adorable 2.75 children!
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!!
I have the utmost respect for all Mothers.
It truly is the hardest
yet most rewarding job
we'll ever have!
Oh...and the next morning the Tooth Fairy had indeed
brought Anden exactly what he had asked for!
Too bad she didn't bring him any extra teeth!
I guess we're going with the Redneck one top tooth smile for awhile! ;-)
