Fourth of July Festivities - Part 3

Date: July 5th

The 4th of July weekend was far from over for us!
On Saturday we went to the rock wall.
The kids (especially Taylee!) are so good at it!

They loved it when they got to the top and Lynds and Kyrrigan were waiting to greet them!

But I think their fave part was the swinging back down to the ground though!

Then we took a quick swim before heading home.
After Kyrrigan's nap we were immediately off to the Lake!
Usually we avoid crazy holiday weekends at the Lake.
But since we had family in town we made an exception to brave
the unreal amount of boats and choppy water!

Most afternoons in July/August monsoon storms roll into the valley.
Today was no exception.
We watched as the dark looming clouds and winds got closer and closer.
We were hoping it would detour and bypass the lake.
But then the massive winds just kept getting worse.
We quickly decided to cut our trip short and fight the ocean size white caps
back to the dock to load up.
Scary and exciting to say the least.
We almost cap sized at one point when the most massive wave flew over
the front bow of the boat and soaked us all.
Especially Aaron who was the "guide" at the front of the boat! lol

But we survived!
Heading home!
