California Trip - Part 4

Date: July 13th
Thousand Oaks, CA

Most of the family flew home bright and early on Sunday.

However us and Gravens had the leisure of driving

so we had longer to play.

We fully enjoyed our big buffet breakfast at the hotel

and lounged around playing mini golf.

(or some version of it that involved more like a pool table shot into the corner pocket)

 

Then we loaded up and headed to Malibu for some more beach time
before we had to head back to desert time.

 

Eventually the Gravens had to leave for Vegas.

So we gave kisses, good byes and sent them on their way!

However we still had time to play a bit longer!

So we made use of each minute left at the beach!

Sadly it was our turn to have to leave!

So we brushed off the sand and salt the best we could

and loaded up!

And yes a bucket of sand crabs came home with us.

I warned the kids they probably wouldn't make it through the drive.

But they voted to give it a try anyway.

Let's just say twice Anden forgot the bucket was by his feet

and stepped in it and dropped his blanket in it.

Oh well we tried! lol

So for the next 6 hours we entertained these kiddos

and their new pets

while stopping every 30 minutes for this Mama to pee!!

The second we crossed the Arizona border

the skies darkened and a Monsoon storm rolled in.

Yep it's July in Arizona!

Then when we finally turned onto our street in Anthem

we almost hit a Coyote.

Yep we're home!

And if you're wondering about the sand crabs...

Houston we have a problem.

They were belly up the next morning.

Oops we tried! ;-)
