Non Typical Vegas Weekend

Date: June 27-29
Location: Las Vegas, NV

This past weekend Taylee and I made a last minute trip to Vegas.

It was a spiritual related trip!

Really!

Vegas and spiritual in one sentence! lol

My older sister Lyndsay recently decided to go through the LDS Temple.

In our religion this is a really big deal!

So we scrambled to rearrange our schedules and made sure we were there!

Ryan had to work and couldn't make the trip.

Anden stayed with his Dad.

So Taylee and I took our first ever Girls Road Trip!

Earlier that day my brother Luke texted to tell me that he and his family

had just decided to come too!

So we were more than excited to play with even more cousins!

Taylee and I hit the road Friday night for our 4 hour drive!

Soon after we arrived,
Luke, Melanie, Brylee and Jeslynn came rolling in
from their 9 hour drive!!

It was quite the slumber party!

The next morning the girls were more than ready to play!

And finally out to the pool!

 

These Idahoans aren't used to such bright sun!

We finally drug the kids out of the pool and got ready for the Temple.

Me, Lynds and Mom headed there early to get Lynds all ready.

The rest of the crew got the sitter for the kids and met us there.

Then we marched on inside and got ready for Lyndsay's special day!

We were eventually met inside the chapel by

Aaron, Jordan, Luke and Melanie!

Also several of Lyndsay's friends from church came too!

It was a super neat experience and one that I'm so thankful I could be a part of!

I rarely get to do anything with my siblings

let alone something of this nature!

And as an added bonus we'll all be back together in the San Diego Temple

in two weeks for Jordan's wedding!

(yes it's humbling being 8 mos prego standing by the skinniest sister ever! lol)

After we left the temple,

we rushed home to get the kids from the sitter and head to dinner.

Cafe Rio was the selection.

These two cousins are two peas in a pod!

And of course we couldn't end the night without a group shot

of all of us that came for the weekend

and crashed Lynds' 2 bedroom condo! lol

Nor could we end the night without more swimming!

Yes Crazy Taylee was in full display again!

Finally we drug these kiddos back inside for bed.

Needless to say it's the FASTEST Taylee's ever fallen asleep! lol

The next morning we had breakfast, played and said our sad goodbyes.

Luke and the girls headed out first for their long drive home.

But luckily we'll see them shortly in California!

Taylee loved being reunited with Rocky!

At least they managed to keep their turtle longer than 2 wks!

Back to the pool

Once again we had to drag the girls out of the pool

for lunch and to get ready to head home.

Taylee was devastated to leave.

Like literally MAD at me 

and trying to climb out the window as I pulled away!

I guess that's the sign of a great weekend with family?!

Needless to say that little girl was asleep 30 mins later

and slept almost the ENTIRE drive.

Let me tell you,

that NEVER happens with her! lol
