Yet another Lake Trip

Date: July 21st

Monday afternoon we decided to do a last minute lake trip.
I figure my lake days are quickly coming to an end
so I better take any chance I can!

This time both kids brought a friend!
Sophia and Noah

The kids all had such a BLAST!
Anden & Taylee were more than excited to teach their friends
how to wakeboard, kneeboard, tube, etc!

Anden somehow always wins at going first.
So he chose to wakeboard.

His fan club cheering him on!

The rest of the crew kneeboarded.
Taylee demonstrated how to do it.
Then Sophie and Noah went next.

I forgot my big camera that day so only a few phone pics turned out! :(
But we did send videos to Tracy and GJ that their kids are now pros! :)

Then we blew up the tube and the real crazy fun began!
I'm always amazed how hyper kids become when their friends are with them!
Needless to say there were some dare devil antics on that tube.

As we were pulling the kids back to the dock to load up before sunset,
I had warned them several times that we were almost out of gas
and to stop just randomly jumping out of the tube each at different times.
Well we had just entered the no wake zone by the dock
when Taylee bailed out of the tube
then of course 10 ft later Anden does.
So there we sat in neutral and idled as the kids swam back to the tube.
And there we ran completely out of gas
with the dock 30 ft away!!!!!
Ok we've NEVER ran out of gas and now twice in one summer?!
So a nice boat towed us all back in
as I scolded my children for doing exactly what I told them not to.

We tied up to the dock as Ryan went to get the car/trailer
and then I proceeded to spend the next 10 mins waiting for him
being the mighty pregnant Bee Swatter Ninja
protecting myself and the 4 screaming children behind me
from the swarm of bees that had somehow taken over the dock.
My weapon of choice was Ryan's baseball hat!
I can only imagine we were quite the sight and entertainment for the boats
around us that were undoubtedly mocking us!
However the kids were ultimately safe and didn't get stung.
I successfully killed off 7 bees and thus 7 close calls.
But not all were safe.
During my sideways ninja one arm jousting stance
one warrior bee managed to sting me in the armpit!
lol really?! Of all places!
Then in the chaos I somehow managed to forget to raise the prop before Ryan
pulled us out of the water.
SCRAAAAAAPPPPEEE!!
And me screaming for him to STOOOOOP!!!!
Like I said
we were quite the entertainment for the fellow boaters that day! lol

Group pic attempt as we were finally safe in our car and leaving the lake!
I was nursing a bee sting to the armpit and Ryan one to the chest
The boat was nursing it's almost ripped off propeller.
But all were still smiles! lol
