Location: Grand Targhee National Forest, Jackson Hole, Wyoming
We were up early as usual and ready to play.
While we were outside playing we ran into Mr. Forest Ranger!
Then Dad and Ryan headed to the Marina to load up the boat.
Looks like Dad's taking home a new pet! lol
Anita, the kids and I walked back down to the general store and gift shop
to get the kids much anticipated souvenir for this location.
On the walk back we ran into 3 deer right by the cabins!!
They were SO close to us and weren't even scared at all.
Back to Anden on camera while we loaded up the luggage
Our cute little cabin and cute little kiddos!
Taylee's turn for pics
And with that we checked out of Colter Bay Village
and headed back 30 miles into Jackson Hole, Wyoming!
Taylee voted to ride with Papa Nolie again.
She was worried about our nice ride with no A/C
and that was now leaking antifreeze which the boys rigged a patch for.
We appropriately had named our sweat mobile the Surbauna.
Well to Taylee's surprise it was only in the 60s that day.
So the Surbauna was nice and chilly inside!
Anden thought this RV was pretty funny.
It was super overcast and chilly
but we oohed and aahed over the scenery and took drive by pics!
Our dirty windshield and Dad's dirty butt in front of us
We arrived at the hotel the same time as the Furniss Clan.
You see the reason Dad was even going to Jackson was for his sibling reunion.
This year they had decided to just have a small sibling get together
instead of our massive kids/grandkids reunion.
But don't you worry we crashed that up real quick. lol
That's the last time you try to leave out all the offspring! haha
We all had lunch together.
Grandma Norma, Uncle Boyd, Aunt Nancy, Dad, Anita, Uncle Kirk and Aunt Marla
and then my rowdy crew.
Ryan and Laiklyn went to the room after lunch for naps.
The rest of the adults took a break to relax as well.
So Anden and Taylee and I ventured out exploring
Ryan and Laiklyn met up with us after naps to continue exploring Town Square.
The rest of the family were at their "reunion" which we kindly stayed away from.
Hey we weren't really going to crash the whole thing.
So we played with just our little family.
This is such a cute town with tons of shops.
Anden and his love of purchasing anything was in heaven!
It started sprinkling and was so cold!! (ok 62 degrees)
Luckily there were shops on every corner so we ran and bought warm clothes!
Then it was back to playing in the town square park.
Laiklyn loves her siblings!
But she especially mauls Taylee and vice versa! ha
And then the kids found this little guy and they were in love.
They were determined to make it their best friend.
(never mind that they had seen real deer, antelope, buffalo, etc. But a squirrel wins?!)
Laiklyn chased that poor little guy all over the park!
Then Anden and his zooming skills took over on camera duty
And by golly that poor squirrel gave in and actually let the Tasmanian Toddler touch it!!
Ryan had finally given in and admitted he was cold too and went back to buy a hoodie.
So he missed the squirrel adventure.
Somehow he wasn't too pleased when we showed him the squirrel and told him Laiklyn
had touched it's nose.
Something about his crazy fear of germs and diseases lol oops
Don't worry I'm sure Laiklyn passed more to the squirrel than he did to her. ha
Then we ventured over to where they hold the nightly town shoot out.
The big kids got front row.
We restrained Laiklyn on the boardwalk in her stroller.
While several kids cried from the noise of the gun fight,
each time the guns shot Laiklyn would yell "POP POP".
Then when the person would fall to the ground dead
she would yell "NIGHT NIGHT!" lol
After the gun fight we ate at a yummy pizza place then headed back to our hotel.
I loved that everything was within walking distance.
This was the view from our hotel balcony!
Gorgeous!
That's Snow King Resort.
Ryan was loving the 60 degree overcast misty weather!
And with that we finally shoved Laiklyn's pack and play in the bathroom
for her to go to bed.
While the rest of us ran downstairs to the lobby each time we had to pee!
The sacrifices we make for her highness! lol
