Ryan's Birthday was on a Sunday this year.
But we kicked it off on Saturday night with cake and singing!
Taylee and I couldn't wait to dive into the Rainbow Chip Cake
we had made him earlier that day.
So we did a pre-birthday singing for him before bedtime!
Sunday morning we were up bright and early to open gifts!
Well one of his gifts were that we were heading to
right then!
So we ate breakfast and packed up.
They have a water park at the hotel so we were excited to try it out!
We went straight to the water park which means no pictures
since I was playing (and chasing Laiklyn) instead.
Then we finally went back to check out our suite.
We faced the massive golf course.
The girls immediately ran out the door to check it out.
Well Laiklyn in all her I'm almost 2 years old and know everything wisdom
decided to sprint down the steep hill
while Ryan and I yelled for her to stop.
Which she didn't.
We fully expected to start seeing arms and legs rolling at any second.
Her legs were like cartoon legs spinning in complete circles as she ran! lol
After our quick break to check out the room
we headed back to the water park.
The kids wanted me to video them on the massive drop slide.
So I hauled my camera and actually took some pics/videos this time!

We played in the water longer than eventually headed to dinner.
And yes we went straight from the pool to dinner.
So we looked our finest! :)
Then we headed our full bellies back to the room.
The kids still had too much energy so I sent them out to run the empty golf course!
They were in heaven!!
Anden decided to go wading for golf balls
Then Laiklyn decided she was going to give the moon a hug! lol
She tried so hard to catch it! :)
Anden still down at the murky pond!
He probably caught a disease instead of a golf ball!
And with that the wet grass ridden dirty kids stumbled back into the room.
They had a blast.
At one point Anden said,
"Mom this is like Idaho with tons of grass to play in!!"
I'm glad that with all the opportunities these kids have had
they still enjoy a big open field of grass the most! :)
The kids strategically placed the candles as far apart as possible to make it harder
for him to blow them out.
But he's full of a lot of hot air and still did it in one breath! lol
After that sugar high we all headed off to bed.

Ryan chased after her to scold her and warn her of the dangers of sprinting down a hill.
So she took one step away
And without hearing a thing I knew exactly what happened next,
"Fine Daddy I'll somersault down the hill instead!!"
This stubborn determined kid has a mind of her own!! lol
After our quick break to check out the room
we headed back to the water park.

Laiklyn loved her first fried ice cream!
(hello it's sugar of course she did!)

and the full moon came out to peek through the monsoon cloudy sky!

Which means he conned Taylee into helping him
Laiklyn just ran and ran and ran nonstop
Then Laiklyn decided she was going to give the moon a hug! lol
She tried so hard to catch it! :)

We had a couple of soccer balls in the car
so a game of soccer broke out in between the sprinklers getting us
while also dancing to music
Laiklyn kept stealing the shoe goal marker lol
Time to head in
but not without playing in the sprinklers one last time

The next morning we had a huge buffet breakfast and then went straight to the water park.
No pics again as I too was playing in the water.
We ate a ridiculously overpriced lunch pool side
and then eventually headed back to Anthem.
What a fun little getaway to celebrate Ryan's birthday!!
