Christmas at the Princess

Date: Nov 29th

While Papa Nolie was in town we headed over to 

one of our fave Christmas events.

Dad is still recovering from 2 years ago when we took him there.

Or maybe he has permanent PTSD from it!

So we decided to play it safe and not do the ice skating this year.

Anden and Taylee were NOT happy about this!

But luckily there were new rides added this year to distract them

from their non skating woes.

Entering the resort!

We wrote letters to Santa 

And even visited with the big man himself.

Laiklyn again told Santa "I want candy!!"

I think that just might be a great (and cheap) gift after all for her! ;)

Then in a blur (literally) she saw Peppermint Penguin and took off running!

Gosh last year she was shy around these celebs.

But not this year!

She jumped right into his arms for a huge hug!

Then as we were walking to the rides we ran into Selfie Elfie.

She seriously fell in love with this dude and wouldn't let go of him! haha

Hugs, hugs and more hugs!

We finally pried her away from Selfie Elfie to move on to the singing trees

Then it was to the rides where we ran into more celebs!

Graham and Shivers

This year they added a tube sledding ride.

Laiklyn was too short to ride.

But I sweet talked the college boy worker and got her on!

She loved it!

Even Ryan and I got turns racing the kiddos!

After these 3 amigos went down it was my turn.

I was chatting with the worker at the top & asked him

"So what is this slide made out of anyway?"

He looks at me like I'm an idiot and says

"Ice"

Ryan about died laughing.

Ok maybe I have lived in Arizona too long.

I'm used to fake ice skating rinks, fake snow, etc.

I just assumed it was a fake ice sledding hill too! lol

But no folks it was the REAL deal! haha

Ok except when you got to the bottom is was a white carpet type thing to slow you down.

We finally drug everyone off the tubes and hit up the Carousel.

Dad and I stayed with Eastlie with on the first round and watched.

We noticed when Ryan went by that he had picked the smallest horse to ride!

We were busting up laughing.

Then Dad named Ryan's horse "Hemorrhoid"

and then I really did almost fall down laughing!

Giddy Up Hemorrhoid!!

The only Idaho native that was cold and hanging out by any fire pit or heater that he could find!

Next up the Ferris Wheel!

Again Laiklyn was way too short to go on this ride.

But that's why we come on weeknights knowing it's not as busy

and we can wiggle her on!

So Ryan and Laiklyn got in the first seat

Then Papa Nolie, Anden and Taylee in the next seat

And wheeee around they went!

Well except Anden nonstop giggling about the big balls!

Then we headed to the train ride.

Guess who was over there?!

Laiklyn bolted off running to him!

Then she held him & danced with the entire next 10 mins until we got on the train! lol

All aboard!

....the fake train! And you wonder why I questioned the ice! lol

And on our way out we had to stop by the rides again!

Laiklyn had to ride the camel each time.

Who doesn't want to ride a horse on a carousel?!

Oh just Laiky Lou!

That girl does her own thing & you're not talking her out of it! lol

With that we finally loaded up into the car & headed on home!
