Gingerbread Houses

Date: Dec 12th

Tonight we made Gingerbread Houses.
The big kids invited a friend to join in.
Ryan and I wrestled the little kids
while attempting to make then remake,
after Eastlie karate chopped hers,
their gingerbread houses.
Oh and juggling making dinner for everyone during this too!

I know it was a Christmas theme party,
but the kids will never stray away from their beloved Taco Tuesday.
So we had tacos to go with our candy, oh I mean Gingerbread houses! ;)

First up:
Building their masterpieces....of course with hot glue instead of frosting.
Much sturdier for these amateur architects!

Laiklyn was more concerned about which toys would fit in her home

The girls took this construction phase very seriously!

Owen had more glue on his than graham crackers! lol
Anden's...ya I thought he was building a fan!

Then we moved outside to decorate their mansions!

Of course Laiklyn ate her weight in candy.
Good thing Daddy decorated her house for her so she could munch away.

Laiky's house was done first
and already had occupants move in!

The boys tried to act cool but they were super into decorating their houses!
Although I don't think Owen will grow up to be a home designer/decorator lol

The littles lost interest and moved on to roaming the yard and chilling in the jeep!

Eastlie's House
(yes that I rebuilt and then decorated after she one handed hulk smashed it!)

The girl's houses in progress

And the boy's houses

Owen's house.....hhmmm where's all the decor?
Good thing he took that long to put frosting on it! lol
He quickly pointed out that he did make a snowman with even a pipe.
Oh....is that what that is?! lol

Anden's creation...still in progress.
I had to drag him and Taylee both out of there.
They would still be fiddling with their homes!

The little's house along with their hired contractors.

The girls were so detailed!

Then we scarfed down tacos
and headed out delivering gifts to neighbors!
