Train Ride and Santa!

One of our favorite holiday events

is the mini train ride and visiting Santa!

This year we had the Hills come with us too

(you know since Owen was already with us anyway! lol might as well invite his whole fam!)

We came straight from Taylee's soccer tourney

and were excited to see Santa & Mrs. Claus for the first time this year!

I forewarned the kids they better be nice and have their list ready

because this was their only shot to get some face time with the big man!

We got there right before it opened and the line for the train was already long.
So Ryan waited in the line while we snuck up to see the Christmas Celebrities!

Oh I know that look too well...she's up to something!

The boys were not thrilled about a pic with Mrs. Claus.

I gave them no choice though! :)

Our turn to talk to Santa!!

No Santa isn't scolding Laiklyn lol

He's merely telling her hold on honey

as she immediately started nonstop talking his ear off about what she wanted and why! lol

Apparently Taylee is really thinking hard about what to ask for!

"I want an Instax camera!"

Ok now it's Laiklyn's turn to tell Santa what she wants RIGHT into his ear!

"I want a Rapunzel doll and a ride on toy!"

Anden did the good friend thing and shoved Owen at Santa first.

He asked for an iPhone X.

(Yes I reported this news to his parents as soon as they arrived! haha)

Mr. Cool Anden was up next.

Funny how he instantly got a tad nervous in the presence of Santa

and mumbled the same thing that Owen asked for.

(we might have one sad boy on Christmas morning if that's really what he wants!)

And of course you definitely need a picture with Santa each year!

Santa asked Laiklyn to sit up on his lap.

He looks at him and says

"No thank you I want to sit on your soft chair instead!" 

lol um ok

Taylee's always good for a snuggle with anyone!

Eastlie didn't quite know what to think...

other than to try and get her socks off now that she successfully got her boots off!

Then Santa realized how wiggly and slippery Eastlie is! haha

Then Laiklyn decided it was ok to sit in his lap

as long as she could use his sleigh bells!

By then the Hills had arrived and were in the train line with Ryan.
So we met up with them and waited for our turn
while Laiklyn unscrewed all the christmas light bulbs along the path!
UGH didn't realize that's why she was so quiet while the string of lights kept going off!!!! lol

The little train ride was fun as always.
Well except half way through they stopped the train.
The attendant in the back came walking up....right to our seats.
And lectured Anden and Owen about dragging their feet, swatting the hanging lights, etc.
Ya both us and the Hill parents acted like we didn't know whose rowdy boys those were! lol
Then the lady walked on back to the caboose and the train started up again!

Eastlie loved the lights and pointed and oohed and ahhed the whole time.

Hmmm complete opposite of Laiklyn at that age! lol she screamed the whole time.

Then it was back to visit Santa for a family pic!
But first Laiklyn willing ran and sat on his lap
and then she told him he was hairy!
uhhh gotta love honest children! HAHA

I still have no idea what Santa is whispering to Anden!

But based on Anden's face,

it must have been something good!! haha

Then I took the Hills picture.
I'm glad to see their family pictures turn out as well as mine!
