Idaho Christmas Trip 2017 - 12/24

Date: Dec 24th

Christmas Eve was an eventful day!
We started out by going to Idaho Falls to my Mom's ward for church.
It was so neat!
Everyone that was in town went!
We took over two full pews!
Mom, Brad,
Brooke, Jordan, Bree
Luke, Melanie, Brylee, Jeslynn, Trex
Aaron, Lyndsay, Kyrrigan, Aislynn
Ryan, Me, Anden, Taylee, Laiklyn, Eastlie
(ok so Ryan and Eastlie were out in the hall the whole time, but hey they still count!)

I love the Christmas Program because it's always just singing and music!
That touches my soul more than talks a lot of times!

We did whatever it took to keep all these little cuties quiet!

After the service we took a group pic of all of us!

However this one really shows our true colors! lol

And yes we did have a few injuries after the service and prior to these pictures.
It doesn't take long for rambunctious kids to swing each other and knock others down! lol oops
Yes it was Anden that was helicoptering Laiklyn around
when Aislynn unknowingly walked into the flight path
and got sent into orbit herself!

Then we all made our way back to Mom's house
for lunch and hanging out.

Later, to our surprise a knock on the door came...
and it was
SANTA!!

Laiklyn was so excited she couldn't contain herself
and barged in on Kyrrigan's Santa time to make her wishes known! lol

Ok now it's your turn kiddo

You're never too old!
Anden got to sit on his lap too!

I can't remember what happened that was so funny.
But I love the sheer joy on my Mom's face!!
(and my sister and brother too! lol)

And just like that Santa was off for his super busy night to come!
The kids loved hanging out and their new little gifts from Santa.

Eventually we loaded up and headed to our second Christmas Eve party.
We headed back down to Dad's house where the party was in full swing.
Several of Anita's kids/families were there too.

At one point it was WAY too quiet.
I went downstairs and found all the grandkids piled on couches watching a movie.
lol too cute

Then I noticed my missing husband in the mix...hiding on his phone as usual!
So that's where he went!
Apparently it was a little too much festivity for him!

The party winded down and everyone headed home.
Then it was just mine and Lynds' families left
to do our own little Christmas Eve traditions.

Matching Christmas Jammies for the cousins!

Yes it took 9 attempts at a group pic and that was the best one! lol
But here's the rest for a good laugh!
Annie the dog was more cooperative than Laiklyn! lol

Let's throw me and Ryan in there (in our festive matching jammies too! lol)
to see if that helps!
lol nope

Then Taylee read us a Christmas story

And then we acted out the Nativity

Anden then read us "No Room at the Inn"

Once we wrapped up our little program,
it started snowing.
The perfect soft slow falling snow!
My heart was so giddy with excitement!!
Ahhh just what I asked Santa for!
A White Christmas with my family! :)

Of course we rushed outside to admire it!

My twinner Elf! ;)

Then it was lounging for some

and prepping for Santa by others!

...and then to all a good night!!
