The final day in Idaho!
We decided to go check out Dad's garden.
He got too busy this year and just gave up weeding and maintaining the garden.
So we decided to see what food we could still salvage!

Enter the Jungle Garden at your own risk! lol
Lo and behold there was plenty of ripe veggies and fruit to pick!
Our haul
Eastlie was more interested in picking rocks...to throw into the water!
Then we meandered on down to Grandma Norma's house
...for Eastlie to fill up more cups of water!
This is my Grandpa's hat from my Dad's Farm.
Grandpa wore this hat every day my entire childhood.
He passed away when I was in high school.
His hat has been hanging in it's usual spot ever since!
Usually I walk into this house and not really notice all the many details.
But this trip I really took the time to walk through and soak it all in.
Sweet little Grandma is 95 years old and finally starting to slow down.
I just really don't know how much longer we'll get to keep her with us.
So I'm enjoying all the details and moments while I can!
Showing Taylee the hat and telling her the story behind it
Grandma's first selfie!
She's so stinkin cute and just giggled the whole time we were teaching her what to do!
Then of course we had to take a break to haul down a neighbor who's cow got out of the field
and into Grandma's backyard.
Totally normal stuff for these parts! haha
Then back to Papa Nolie's house for a quick pit stop
And on to our last adventure....the gravel pits!
We pulled in and were shocked!
The other day when we were here it was completely dry.
But I guess over the night they had decided to allow water to flow into here again
(something about recharging the aquifer)
Woohoo the kids were so excited!
They love when there's water here in the summer!
Throwing and skipping rocks
The water coming in from the nearby canal
I let the kids play in that um not so clean water under one condition,
just don't get your clothes wet!
30 seconds later...
Laiky's new cool stick....that she decided was a unicorn horn!
Checking our flight....and yep it's very delayed!
Guess that's more time to play!
Eventually we loaded up and Dad took us to the airport.
I can't even count how many of these selfies I find on my phone regularly! haha
Saying our final goodbyes!
Such a fun trip!!
And then we waited...and waited...and waited
as our flight got further delayed...and delayed
We finally boarded and Laiky was out in 2 mins flat!
Too bad her younger sister wasn't also!!
Ahhhh back to sunny warm melt your face with the breeze Arizona!
Sunset welcomed us....burning our eyeballs as we walked into the airport!
Ryan's dad was waiting for us on the curb!
This airport is an hour away from our house!
We're SO grateful that he brought our car and picked us up!
We're SO grateful that he brought our car and picked us up!
But even bigger was the surprise that he had detailed our car
and had balloons inside waiting for Ryan!
Just what Ryan wanted....the never ending birthday to be revived! hahaha
Then we drove back home
where Poppy had a big homemade dinner waiting for us.
Gosh what a great ending to this trip!!
After a few hour flight delay we were all starving and tired!
So we ate up and celebrated Ryan's birthday with his Dad....one more time!!
And then we all CRASHED asleep soon after!
Whooo what an action packed 10 day adventure!
It's for sure the summer highlight to play in Idaho!
