Anden left for Scout Camp bright and early on Monday!
This was his first year at a week long Scout Camp.
However we had already scheduled to fly to Idaho mid week.
I still wanted him to experience Scout Camp.
So I drove 5 hours roundtrip to pick him up late on Wed night
so that we could catch a crack of dawn flight Thursday!
Never a dull moment around here! lol
Oh and there was drama surrounding if there was even going to be a Scout Camp.
After we were all signed up, BSA cancelled all the camps for the summer.
They are broke and just couldn't afford to staff and run them.
Well it was the Mormons to the rescue.
They asked BSA if they could just rent the whole camp and staff and run it themselves.
Boom, Scout Camp was now back on!
Here's some pictures from Camp that the leaders were sending us throughout the week!
No I didn't enhance colors. Yes that pool is really that green!!!
I guess that's what happens when it sat unattended all summer!
They had a pool company come and put chemicals in
and test it's safety prior to the boys getting there.
This was after it was 'cleared safe'.
Uhhh I would hate to see what it looked like before! haha
Anden shut his phone off when he got there since he didn't have reception anyway.
So I was definitely grateful for the pics that the few leaders with cell service were sending us!
Once Ryan got home from work on Wednesday,
I took off for a solo road trip to the mountains!
It was actually really enjoyable since I'm never alone!
I love that within 1.5 hours I'm in the mountains and pine trees!! aahh!
The temperature dropped over 30 degrees!!
You better believe I had my windows unrolled taking it all in!
We're melting down in the Valley!
This is a treat!
Woohoo I found my cute boy!!
Reunited!! :)
He showed me around camp
And then we loaded everything up and headed back on home.
The sun was setting right when we left.
So pretty!
When we got to Flagstaff we stopped to eat "real food"!
He was dying for something normal to eat! lol
He picked Chipolte and gobbled that burrito down fast than ever!
Then it was back in the car for the rest of drive home.
