Location: Blackfoot, Idaho

Today are plan was to do NOTHING! No traveling! No schedules! Just relaxation....and playing on the "farm"!

Visiting the Horsies

Hay Ride

(no we didn't forget Anden, he's in the bucket!)

Sledding...on the frozen rocks

Exploring the country
Later that day we met Justin/Lacie/boys for dinner in town. They were on their drive back from Yellowstone to Utah. Then we hit up the high tech fancy (HA HA) Blackfoot bowling alley! LOL seriously it's like stepping back 40 years in time when you walk in there. Poor little small town bowling alley. At least they had electronic scoring (well for half the game they did!) Because we all know our generations have no clue how to add/subtract/keep score without an electronic tool.

Anden & his first ever bowling THROW

Taylee hunting for rusty old ashtrays

Yes, we were the only ones there. Yes, the place has the same decor from 1967. Yes, I was deathly scared touching anything of fear of contracting a rare disease. Yes, the place is non smoking but yet the smoke odors embedded in the chairs, walls, carpet, balls, ceiling were overwhelmingly present. Yes, Taylee really did lick an outdated ash tray before I snatched them away. Yes, they had an "arcade" but not a single game worked (or was even plugged in for that matter). Yes, they had bowling shoes that barely had soles attached. Yes, the shoelaces were broken and re-knotted together. Yes, the pin setter worked 60% of the time. Yes, the ball returner worked 70% of the time. Yes, the electronic score keeper/TV worked for 1.5 games. Yes, I had to remove the mental cobwebs and remember how to keep score via pencil and paper. Yes, they over greased the bowling lane and we unfortunately realized this when Anden barely crossed the line and both his feet flew out from underneath him and he landed on his head (Bruise #43). Yes, the owner/attendant/friend of Dad's had to come to our rescue 5 times to fix the equipment and eventually move us to a new lane that worked. Yes, my kids spent $10 on the candy machines for perishable items that were also probably from 1967. Yes, we all had a GREAT time. And yes, Anden beat me...and we both played on the bumper lane.
