Saturday was another round of basketball games.
Taylee was up first.
The team shirts had arrived.
They got bright orange!
I had to laugh that they named their team
Panthers
yet their shirts say
Tigers.
Not confusing at all! :)
Taylee is quite the hustler!
She runs that court faster than anyone.
She's a great little defender and always has her arms in the air.
She actually took 2 shots as well on offense.
She's learning that it's much harder to make a basket with
someone in your face!
Usually the league is good about equally dividing up the teams.
Not this time.
We have 4 girls out of 9 on our team.
Most other teams have 1 girl or all boys.
Hhmm well at least we're cute! :)
Her adorable little tongue is always hanging out when she concentrates!
Halftime!
When I asked them if they wanted to go practice shooting with the boys
they all answered
"Um no. I'm already sweaty. My hair's getting messed up."
lol such girls already!
So I took a picture of them instead!
Taylee told me later,
"Mommy I tried to make a basket but that tall girl got in my way!!"
Then I downloaded the pictures and she was exactly right! lol
Next up:
Anden's game!
He had a yucky cold so it was literally a game time decision if he was going to play!
But after sitting through Taylee's game,
he decided he couldn't be outdone and was healthy enough to play!
They are Team Nuggets.
And their shirts even say so! :)
Somehow I only got two pictures!
But it was definitely an exciting game!!
These boys are all such good shooters and very aggressive!
Anden was the All Star on his team last year.
But now he's back to being the youngest of the crew.
So it'll be a good learning experience for him!
I'm amazed how good some of these boys already are!!
It was another neck and neck game.
We squeaked out the win at the last moment!
Definitely a fun one for all!
